Thats why I love blind playthroughs. I cannot experience things for the first time again but I can relive it vicariously through these playthroughs. I cant wait for Ryan to do Elden Ring. I think it should be a youtube series though.

Yes, indeed! These games should be experienced blind: falling into a trap, misinterpreting a quest, avoiding a leap of faith, missing all the parries... it makes the journey unique and the rewards & plot twists more significant... good luck, don't go hollow...

I think this game in particular is still the best of From Soft's work. It's honestly a masterpiece with so much attention to detail and love, or some kind of amalgamation of love and sadism. Yes! Let's go Ryan! I recommend reading item descriptions, particularly story related ones since they give good lore, the lore of dark souls is very intricate but can be hard to piece together

It wasn’t perfect, but there’s a reason that the games they’re making today still share 95% of the groundwork that that game set in 2009. It started an entire genre of games single-handedly for a reason lol

Love the video and 100% subbed for the playthrough. This is also my very first time playing darksouls remastered and this was great to put on while farming for material. Trying to get all trophies in the game to get the platinum.

I really hope you play the whole souls series, specifically DS3 and Elden Ring. DS3 was my first souls game and has been my #1 favorite game ever since, it's an incredible title with the best musical score I've ever heard in a game and I've heard a lot of good ones. Genuinely a haunting game that, very excited for this and hopeful DS3 is in the future!

I honestly don't get people who only or mainly love the boss fights. I think they're just an added flavour to the whole game where the World is the central point of interest. Dark Souls 3 definitely felt more focused on the bosses though, but I will let you decide for yourself when you get there.

In terms of Souls style but non Dark Souls games that are in this “super difficult” category, I recommend: Wo Lung Fallen Dynasty (2023): a sort of Sekiro lite, which I am enjoying immensely. I personally find it easier than Dark Souls or Elden Ring, but some find it harder. Elden Ring of course lol (2023?) I Am Bread (????)

@ryanmartin1725 Don't be scared of the souls series because of a "lack of skill". Sure they are difficult, but not in execution. They moreso want you to be persistent and smart (especially DS1 which moves rather slowly). If these games look interesting to you give them a try, they are beautiful experiences!
