Dude, you're lucky that you just now started playing. They only had maybe 3 afro textured hairstyles and about 5 skin tones for black sims. The afros we had literally looked like meatballs. They had zero texture. This came out in 2014. We got toddlers in 2017. They didn't all of those skin tones until 2020. We got infants last year. Being able to use mods and custom content on PC is what's keeping this game alive. They just started working with content creators in the past few years so they could add more diversity. It's still not enough, which is why so many people, especially us black folks use custom content. Sims look 1000 times better with custom content.

So if they are doing something you don’t want them to do you can hover on their action queue and click on the action you want them to stop. Clicking on it stops them from doing it. Also remember you can pause. If you want to speak to someone pause, then click on them and figure out what you want your sim to say to them. That way you don’t run the risk of them leaving or your sim finding something else to do. Also remember on the bottom right you have many panels. One of them tells you all of your sims needs which will let you take better care of them.

WAIT HOW DOES THIS ONLY HAVE THIS FEW VIEWS??? i really enjoyed this! i would love to see a part 2, youre really cool and energetic :) for mods i suggest the wonderful whims mod, and CC (custom content created by fans) so you can have an actually good hairstyle :) Little tip: type ctrl+shift+c to open the menu, then type "motherlode" to get 50k for free :) this way you can expand your house, get some better lights and build your house! if you shift+right click your character or other characters you get secret options about them! (i would love to see you customize your own home a bit more, get new furniture, maybe a proper gaming setup, and ask Nina to be your girlfriend!)

You can access tutorials again in the options menu. It's worth learning all of the basic controls, UI, and reading and dismissing (and even accessing old) notifications as they pop up. Overall, knowing what does what in this game and what everything means, that way if/when you install mods, you'll know how to use them, what they change, and how to troubleshoot if they don't work.
