some tips for you: if you press down on the right stick you bump out to the right and if you press down on the left stick you bump out to the left holding down both sticks when you pop gives you higher pop turning before you pop lets you spin faster pressing the sticks down while in mid air lets you catch tricks how you want and lets you do ollie north and south pulling both sticks towards each other or away from each other is how you power slide and holding LT or RT while pulling them together or away from each other is how you revert u can do grabs by pressing RB/LB

to do boardslides easier just make the two analog sticks go inward facing each other it will make ur board turn wayyy faster and smoother

both sticks away or towards eachother makes you like shifty your board in air to get into grinds better or spin faster and make you powerslide on ground and you can use trigger to revert while powersliding get mods tho its an entirely different and better game

i think the biggest hurdle in learning this game is getting used to trigger turning moving with stick is like kick-turning in a way while trigger turning is like normal turning (if that makes sense?) either way, great progression, i couldnt even hardflip crook the first time i picked up the game lmao

The controls make more sense when you think about irl. A flat ground 360 flip uses the same foot movement as a fakie 360 flip and in Skater XL it's the same way

Technically that’s actually incorrect, a flat ground 360 flip is inverse to the fakie 360 flip so the controls should be diagonal up and left of the original. The fact XL makes you do it as an opposite. So your close but still a bit off buddy haha ;)

When you pull both joysticks down for a trick it gives you more pop it works for any flat ground trick and when you pull both joysticks down and hold on of the trigger it will wind up for 360s it works for any variation of 360s

For bs 360 you gotta hold both sticks down and the right trigger then let go of the sticks and hold the trigger and then rotate the sticks up and in

Tbh this game vanilla just aint it... You gotta install a bunch of mods to get it to feel right but its so worth it in the end, been playing this game for years and made a bunch of videos on it, never had so much fun playing a skating game like its real life, spending hours going for lines, filming it etc.. this game is just crazy fun and everyones style is different, you can usually tell who is playing based off how they skate in game its kinda nuts.

No point in playing skater xl without any mods. When you do though, it can be very satisfying. The modding community has done so much for this game. Honestly session is a great game to but there's really no better feeling when it comes to virtual skateboarding if your playing modded XL. The possibilities are endless. Session has boundaries when it comes to steeze and certain things. But who knows maybe with the next couple updates all that will change.

when you start installing XL Mod or XXL Mod this sh** is getting real! you can make the game even more realistic by altering gravity, flip speed, ollie hight, you get a low pop thats gamechanging and all kinds of stuff. Ive played for over 1000 hours by now and its not letting me go :D
