Great reaction and nice to hear your thoughts. If you liked then I think you’ll love this rabbit hole. They have a lot of different sounds with more rap heavy tracks, pop and smooth R&B too. I’d give you recommendations but honestly it’s all great so it kind of doesn’t matter what you get into next. Since you asked about it, they do kind of have lore or at least themes. A conceit they come back to a lot is that they are aliens and there are a lot of references to space in their lyrics (for example all of Shooting Star). Wolves also come up a lot and the fandom is called Alphaz

Great reaction and welcome to XG! For rap, Woke Up, their song just before Something Ain’t Right (SAR) is probably the best intro as all of the members rap (even the vocal line). After that if you want to see more of the rap line, the XG TAPES and the Hesonoo/X-Gene video are a great way to go. The vocal line does XG VOX videos that show off their voices. If you want more mellow R&B sounds, Left Right and their Christmas song, Winter Without You are great examples.

Yeah this was cool. Great thorough reaction. Xg doesn’t miss man. And the best part is they are a content makers dream. Built in audience. Great music. Reality content following their journey. Individual tape drops for rap line, vocal and dancing and a doc about their formation that adds just a beautiful backstory to watching their progress and almost taking pride in them. The overarching idea is they are aliens period and they play with that concept multiple ways. I’m not sure how you’d prefer journey. But if ur trying to start from beginning period. I’d watch doc. Like the first girl who is Juria sings in Tippy Toes. If you're new to XG then "you haven't seen nothing yet" with what this group can do. Also watch the dance practice for Tippy Toes. Their choreography is so good that even professional dancers are blown away when they react to it This group so far has done harmonies on a drill beat, did choreography blindfolded, performed one of their songs entirely in ASL, had Ciara and Jackson Wang do an official remix of their song Left, Right at Coachella in 2023, and has been written about in Rolling Stone, Elle Magazine and the Grammys, had their song Woke Up trending at nr 1 for a few days on KZbin.
