His dad is a very famous singer/song writer named Rhett Akins, his name is actually Thomas Rhett Akins. He wanted to stand on his own as an artist so he decided to go by Thomas Rhett. He had already been doing pretty well before people found out for sure that he was Rhett Akins son. My favorite is his song Vacation, it's if you ever get a chance to go, run don't walk.

i get what you’re saying so this is no offense to you at all.... but with who his dad is, he was always guaranteed the opportunity to make an album. a lot of very talented ppl move to nashville with big dreams but can’t make it because they don’t have the connections. so yeah he might have earned his fans on his own merit, but he got a hell of a head start too!

Because a lot of people put that information right out there because they want the traction that a friend or relative in the industry can give you. I have cousins who had zero connections, but wanted to be musicians. They put the work in, sent many many demos and ended up being signed to RCA about 20, maybe even 21 years ago and ended up becoming very successful and won 4 grammy's. It's all about getting in the right room, with the right people, at the right time.

I live in the US in his home state of Georgia. And every time I hear this song, I always have flashbacks of being in London. I was in London on holiday back in 2017, just minding my own business in a British pub in the Westminster area, and this song came on. At the time, I never expected to hear this in the UK. But I was glad to hear it from across the pond! And now, every time I hear it, I feel like I’m back in London at that British pub! Cheers from US!

It’s his actual wife, cheese it up all he wants. It is wonderful to love someone that much. Just having fun because they are around you, regardless of what’s happening.
