Strange knew the one scenario in which they win. That means he knew that if he told Tony beforehand that he'd need to sacrifice himself to defeat Thanos, Tony would think too much about it and try to find a way to avoid dying but would ultimately fail to beat Thanos in the process. Tony needed to make that choice in the moment with his emotions instead of trying to think his way out of the situation.

Throughout his entire arc, Stark is solving problems. He improves himself and his armor to avoid making mistakes more than once. I think every bit of him went into that final snap of his fingers. It was the ultimate Iron Man moment, where he became a suit of armor for the universe.

I remember being in High School in 2008 seeing Iron Man 1 in theaters, being completely blown away at what I was watching. And then being captivated at this amazing story for the next decade. When Infinity War was announced, I remember telling my brother that if this entire saga ends with Steve having his dance with Peggy, this would be some of the best story telling in cinema history. Then Endgame comes around and I'm sitting in the theater on opening night, in complete shock when I see it ACTUALLY HAPPEN. Watching this movie on the big screen was the greatest experience I've ever had at a movie theater, nothing comes close to the payoff that I received personally as a Steve Rogers fan.
@scottb3034 Жыл бұрын
The two moments I called prior to were Cap wielding Mjolnir and reuniting with Peggy. Knowing that Cap wielded it in the comics I felt they'd pay off the AOU tease eventually (and then the Russos being tapped to direct the Avengers movie it became a certainty in my mind) and I knew Peggy was the end goal for him when time travel was being bandied about during the production of IW/Endgame. It makes me happy that Marvel's biggest movie and one of their very best was very much a Captain America movie as much as an Avengers movie, he had the best moments imo.

54:42 is unironically one of my favorite moments of the entire movie. Without words, it's Strange reminding Tony that there is "only one" scenario out of 14 million where they win, and that Tony knows what he has to do and is the only one that can. Benedict's completely terrified and focused look at him could not be a more perfect way of conveying the tension and severity of that single moment and the impact on their entire universe.

It's right in the line where as Steve is telling Bucky not to do anything stupid while he's gone and Bucky tells him "How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you." I watched my childhood hero’s be “born , live and win, lose, and occasionally die” when infinity war came out I was an adult and started to understand that good dosnt always win, but leaving infinity war with an emptiness of “ we lost” was a gut punch. then the bittersweet victory in endgame was a somber uplifting note . I agree. I think the people saying that can only see things through their own lenses. They want a set path with a set endpoint; they want a goal. What they got instead was open-world storytelling. After Endgame, I think Marvel said "we have a bunch of stories we want to tell," and told them. Personally I have enjoyed all of the offerings. Some more than others, but all of them to a degree to which I'd recommend them to others to watch. That's not to say Marvel hasn't had the odd issue here and there, but it's all been at least a B-grade. Ok, maybe one B-minus. To your point, I have every faith that Kevin Feige is leading all of this somewhere.

It was bittersweet because I'd always been a massive fan of Star Wars and its Expanded Universe books rather than superhero comics. And the Marvel franchise was proof that the Star Wars prequels and sequels could've been everything I dreamed of if they'd been handled half as competently.

Season2 of Mando!!! Yes!!❤ And we found the most recognizable Mandalorian armor in Star Wars and awesome character reveal. I love your 1st time viewing reaction. You go great with my morning coffee.

So you’re telling me that Clint has gone dark for 5 years to go around hunting criminals, but also kept his same phone and phone number (which would make it trivially easy to find him), and also he kept Laura’s phone number active for five years, even while her physical phone and physical body were gone. Back in Civil War, Baron Zemo would listen to his wife’s voicemail message, so maybe Laura’s mailbox is still there. But Clint had given up hope that he’d see them again. There’s just no good reason that she’d be able to call him.

First of all, love the Captain Marvel appreciation! And wow, your reaction really transported me back when I saw this in theaters and had all the same reactions. Fun fact- it aired in the US on my birthday! Best bday gift EVER. I’ve been feeling a lot of superhero fatigue lately- thank you for reminding me just how special this movie is 😊

most people don't realize "endgame" has more meaning than simply this story line. It signified the ending of an era in Marvel. They Aim to have New Leads and New Story Arcs. A few of these actors are older than you might think. And I'm sure they themselves are tired of playing the role. the first iron man movies started filming in 2007 to put it into perspective.

If you played the movie to the very end of the credits you’ll hear a hammer hitting an anvil. References to Tony Stark building the first Ironman suit in the first movie.

I never will forget anything about watching this movie for the first time in the theater but you saying man we lost cap too was one of the feelings that hit me the most. Like damn, Natasha, Tony and Cap all in one movie.

I want to thank Marvel to this day for giving us this once in a life time movie going experience. I'll never forget watching all the individual movies for years and years in expectation for this final one with everything coming together. You know life sucks, but at least I'm glad I live in an era where I got to experience this
