Ooof I've been there. I was pregnant and working. I was put on bed rest so I was waiting for the disability check to come in. So we literally ate every bit of food we had until our cupboards were bare. We were lucky because I had wic, but it's not enough for 2 people. My sons dad was paying all the rent and pge. So my money was for groceries. I was too ashamed to go get food stamps. But a friend convinced me to do it because I was pregnant and needed food. I'm in a much better place now 13 years later. But I do remember that. Hope you're doing better now.
