Biggest tip! Don’t get a changing table. Buy a dresser instead. And put changing pad on it. It’s so nice to have everything right where you’re standing, plus the dresser they can grow into. A changing table they can’t so it’s a waist of furniture. You can organize the dresser to have pjs, outfits, diapers/wipes and butt creams and socks etc! Trust me. If I knew with my first what I know now, money would have been saved!

For example, I haven't even sent out my invites so no one has a registry number but my mother in law was able to find my registry just based on my name and the store I registered and purchase things off it. Its really not that hard to do! Also if you have an issue why do you even follow her other than to be a troll?! Literally nothing she did is any different than me calling my family and posting on fb that we just did our registry and in fact my family needed that info for my shower anyways. Also, both her and davis work for their money and because they do well doesn't mean they aren't entitled to gifts!

I sent you and davis things from your target registry because one you are my Favorite and two who doesn't want to spoil a cute little baby!!! At the end of the damn day it is my money and I decide who I want to spend it on, and guess what for all those haters leaving nasty comments, Casey has been a huge role model of mine and a huge inspiration, even when fighting cancer at just 22 years old and now I am 28 watching her videos literally SAVED me and I cannot thank her enough for being there to entertain me and guide me and just be a friend through social media!!! Casey you deserve to relish in all the gifts and love and support it's an amazing journey for you and davis and the pups!!!

My husband and I made my daughter an email account. When she was born we would send pics to the email. We gave the email address to family so they could send her funny stories /pics about her or advice. Every now and then I send an update of what is going on in her life. We will give her the password when she turns 18 ❤️ she is 7 right now. Just a suggestion on something you might want to try.

If the email remains inactive for too long it will be deleted!! Not the email itself but the content .. One day you will check it and it will be empty. Make a big scrap book instead. Have ppl mail you letters, pics etc and u can add it to the scrap book

There are always resources and community clinics that can help out provide information and teachings to mothers! ask your nurses and doctors where you can get access to these so that you know you always have a place that can help! wishing you the best throughout your pregnancy!!

Tip for the pups!! When the baby is born they have the first blanket that they put on the baby or lay the baby on before they give the first bath. Have them save that blanket and have someone take it to your house. Leave it somewhere where the dogs can access it easily. This will get them used to the scent and know what’s coming. That way when you bring the baby home, the pups will be familiar with who he or she is! Also congrats I am SO excited for you!

Yes! We did this as well and think it was the right move. We also had our dog come outside to meet the baby then lead the way back inside. Supposedly that meant he was inviting the baby "into his space" instead of feeling like someone was coming to take over.

Registries aren’t for poor people. Granted, it’s super useful if you’re not financially sound, but a registry is universally accepted for new parents. It integrates family in the process. Can you imagine telling your mother “you can’t buy anything for your grand child because I have my own money.” That sounds ridiculous. I’m convinced those people either don’t have children or are choosing to disregard the intent of a registry because they’re petty.

Mackenzie Frape all she did was say she made a registry though. She says here, that she didn’t provide the information for the registries. And likewise, the comments made didn’t sound to the tune of “why are you asking your subscribers for stuff” and more to the tune of “why are you asking ANYONE for stuff.” Which again, a registry isn’t even solely about asking for stuff, but figuring out what you need, involving family and friends, and baby shopping in general is fun. I’m sorry, but I think any negativity regarding it was uncalled for, mostly based on the facts of the actual situation, which was that she didn’t ask anyone for anything and as she said, didn’t even put up links. I'm sitting here watching this with my 5month sleeping baby on me (with my full bladder), my 2 year old finally just fell asleep. It's taking me back to my pregnancies and I can sympathize with all you're saying. Pregnancy and the first few months of a baby is such a whirlwind. My best advice is dont take too much advice. One thing that helped with my dog and I’ve heard of others doing this as well. After baby is born take a blanket that has been wrapped around the baby and get someone to take it home and let the dogs smell it and leave it on the floor. It’s so they are use to the baby smell before y’all ever get home. It helps cause I was so worried about my dog

Can I recommend NOT getting a doppler? I’ve had 3 babies and I had that same anxiety with every single one: what if something is going wrong in there? Gosh I hope everything is ok, etc, etc. I got a Doppler with #1 and couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat. Sent me into full blown panic mode. It’s best to leave that kind of stuff to the medical professionals. ❤️ (at the end of the day, it is YOUR pregnancy, and you do you. I’m so very happy for you! And I’m so sorry to hear that people were so damned rude about registries!! That’s just plain awful! Of course you deserve one! You’re becoming a mother! That is a beautiful thing that your friends and family certainly wish to celebrate with you. 🎉❤️)

I’m 35 weeks now with our first but we had a previous miscarriage so I was super on edge for awhile. I wanted a Doppler but luckily my husband knows me and told me that I would just lose it if I couldn’t find the heartbeat.

I second this! I’m 17 weeks and a registered nurse and tried using a Doppler where I work and could not find a heartbeat (even though I use Dopplers all the time). I have been basically a nervous wreck ever since!!

Im 17+4 with my first baby and love my Doppler! As the baby gets bigger, the heartbeat becomes easier to find! It’s so much fun hearing the baby’s heartbeat whenever I want and you can also hear when the baby moves/kicks!

Why cant she have a registry? She has a family who would like to get her gifts and its fun to see what people choose from your registry and its just a fun way of remembering things like "oh your aunt gave you this pillow" or "your uncle gave you that blanket". My kids 8 now and we get to tell him who gave him what and he gets super excited knowing he has a piece of his loved ones with him all the time. Its just fun. Not about money all the time. Girl I have a little basket with diapers, wipes and puppy pads downstairs underneath my coffee table. You totally don’t need a changing table downstairs (unless you absolutely want one of course!) but I use the couch and put a pad down if it’s a stinky diaper 😘 love you and can’t wait to see your journey with Davis. Also with the registry thing, make all the damn registries! You get a discount once baby is born so add any and everything and screw what everyone says!

Huggies Little Snugglers are the BEST diapers for newborn babies. They are the only brand that has a little poop catch across the back of the diaper to keep explosions from shooting up the back! We went through sooooo many brands of diapers before I found that Little Snugglers have an extra little band across the back! For your pups have someone bring home the very first hat that your baby wears when he/she is born. Have the pups sit when they smell it. This trains them to associate a calm state with the new baby smell. Congrats!!!! 💙💖

I was honestly amazed that no other diaper brand has caught onto the extra back “catch” it makes SO MUCH SENSE. 😱 When my daughter started eating solids, around 7 months, is when I could start branching out to cheaper diapers. Girl, I feel you! I am 16 weeks and I was not able to eat anything healthy (meat or veggies) during my first trimester...plus getting sick daily I lived off of carbs. 1. EVERYONE has a baby registry and I know that was your last thought....jeez people are rude. 2. I was so sick even my water smelled horrid and I would throw up while taking a shower but I was sick the whole time and had to take medicine. 3. Your dogs will be so good and will protect him/her, you watch-my mastiff was so protective he got upset when guests would hold him and would stand between the baby and them if they would act like they were coming toward him.

hickchicklori, not everyone. I know many people who do not have a registry or baby showers. It just a choice. Some people don’t like help from others, some need it and others just appreciate it if they don’t need it. It’s just ridiculous she is asking for anything. Most people want to help others and buy for a new baby. I know I do!

I got my Doppler off amazon and I used it a lot throughout my pregnancy! Eased any anxiety and worries I had!!! Also - the first 4-6 weeks of breastfeeding is tough BUT stay strong and stick through and it gets so much easier and becomes literally the greatest thing in the entire world!!!! I tell everyone do not give up right away - find a pediatrician who backs your journey in breastfeeding. So excited for you! ❤️

I had terrible morning/all day sickness and I used sea bands!! They helped me a lot. I got them at Walgreens, I was prescribed medicine and it made me soo sleepy too so I just wore those daily! I’m so excited for you girl! 💕 Congrats again!

@@keharris530 yes that exact thing is what I'm envisioning. And really, I can't believe she said her husband was going to build the babies crib. I thought for sure she was gonna get so much flack for that. Maybe people won't be like that (I hope) to her. But I can't help but think the tsunami of negativity is building momentum and strength and on its way to her. :/ I have no doubt she and her husband will research everything they can, make informed decisions, and do what they think is best for their baby. I just hope she vaccinates. I've been on those mommy forums. I'm a mother of 3 and was a teen mom for my first. Pregnancy hormones literally made me crazy and I played with the thought of not vaccinating at first. When you spend a lot of time online surrounded by people who are adamant about something, it's hard to see things any other way. Thankfully that was short lived and before the baby was born but damn, the fear mongering played with my baby centered brain in a scary way.

Hey girl! My sister struggled with the same type of acne. Her doctor really recommended she stick with the au natural route for skincare. She had great success with Origins Checks and Balances! It really cleared up her skin and cystic acne. We swear by it now and it is a part of our regular skincare routine. However, do what your doctor thinks is best!

Not sure if it was because I gained 60 pounds during my pregnancy but I would recommend putting your oils behind your knees as well. I totally never imagined getting stretch marks there but it happened and I wish I had warning lol! So excited for you Casey! ☺️

Motherhood is a whole other world. Everyone will have an opinion no matter what you do. Before, during and after the pregnancy. You and your hubby will know what's best at the end of the day. People mean well but it's your baby. Btw, one of the best things that worked well for my tummy for both pregnancies was one of your faves, L'Occitane Ultra Rich Cream. Luckily no stretch marks either time.

Don't get a Doppler!!! It was the worst thing I ever got. I couldn't stop using it and if the baby moved or was in a weird position I couldn't find it and got freaked out. Trust your body and you will be fine. You look absolutely amazing! X

OMG I remember with my last pregnancy my son's father took me to Golden Corral bc it was one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered the open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes and fried okra. I literally started balling my eyes out bc I was so hungry and they gave me such a tiny portion. The manager actually came out, rubbed my back for a few minutes & had them bring me out a new plate with a larger portion of food. I'm so embarrassed now! 😏😭😭

I have a chronic illness and I'm on a lot of prescription medications to help keep that under control. I'm currently working on getting off of as many of them as I can, but it's going to take at least a year to get off of them and have them out of my system. I am by no means cured, or pain free to where I'd normally choose to go off my medication, but I'm at a point in my life where I want a child more than anything else. We are hoping to be able to start TTC around next Christmas or Thanksgiving. I just pray to have a happy, healthy baby in the next few years💗 I am so incredibly happy for you and Davis, and I love getting to watch this journey. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I work with newborns, and sometimes it's hard because of how much my heart just wants to be a momma. But usually it's comforting, and makes me happy seeing other people during some of the strongest and happiest moments of their lives. I wouldn't trade my job for the world. I'm a doula and I get to help new families bring their baby into the world more smoothly and comfortably, as well as help them learn and adjust to life with a newborn. Also I stay up with baby at night so mommy and dad can get much needed rest! I bring the baby into mom every few hours to nurse, or give them a bottle depending on the families choices. I've gotten to know so many wonderful families and beautiful babies through being a doula💕

I would definitely recommend getting a pack n play with the changing table or a boppy newborn lounger for downstairs so you don’t have to keep going up and down to check on babe 😊 I love our pack n play

Btw, breastfeeding WILL be hard in the beginning, no matter how “easy” it becomes for you. But it will get better and it will become more natural! Waiting on your milk to come in will feel like an eternity, but once it does, things will hopefully become a breeze for you! Sticking with my breastfeeding journey was one of the most rewarding things as a mother! So much love to you and Davis!
