My first trip to Skomer! May 2024

Skomer is an island off of the Pembrokeshire coast, in Wales. It is a National nature Reserve managed by The Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales. It is one of the most important and accessible seabird sites in Europe. It supports the largest breeding population of Manx Shearwater in the world, although they were hidden in burrows during daylight hours. The puffins were the stars of the day, with over 25,000 breeding here!

So glad you had such a fantastic day on Skomer! Think you need to visit my favourite island too Skokholm where I have my 8 special infra-red cameras filming Storm Petrels again this year. Puffins do come & sit on you if your patient there too! 😂🤣

what a wonderful treat! What a treasure of a place. I see there is a hostle there as well . As an aside, is there a way your account is coded that I cannot set up notifications for when your videos upload? I can only subscribe but I cannot get notifications

There is a hostel and I am going to try to book to stay there next year. I will look into the subscription issue, thank you
