Dear Ruth, I remember the beautiful green wallpaper as if it was yesterday!! I had my first baby and your content filled my ‘me time’ moments days and nights. You were the first and actually still are the only blogger/later influencer I follow and as said above - it’s just like you are family. Love your humor, style, normality, just everything. Thank you for that!!!

To be honest , I can't be bothered to sign up to yet another thing. I do and have always loved your videos, from the very beginning. You were the first vlogger I ever watched and if I had to pick 2, and only 2, you'd be one of them (the other is Common Farm Flowers--for my flower fix, and she is down to earth like you).

I’m so with you on the ‘wearing shorts from May to October’ that is do me. My favs lasted me years, and were from Asda of all places! Short shorts and just perfect. I managed to get some new ones from H&M and they’ll be my new go-tos… xx
@RuthCrilly6 ай бұрын
Apparently short shorts are out and we should all be in Bermuda length ones. Ffs. I am not going to follow that trend.
@lisahide7066 ай бұрын
Nooooo I’ll never wear Bermuda shorts, would look hideous on me! Short shorts will always be my go-to x

I would love to see a video on your unsuccessful vinted purchases. Why didn't you like it, what have you learned? What would you never get from vinted? I remember you saying how much you'd love buying clothes on ebay and how invested you'd get or disappointed when losing a bet😁

Well I only have this one purchase at present but I'll keep you all updated! : )

OK, I'll get those bloody earplugs. Maybe that will save my relationship as the spy and Roman empire podcasts before bed are really making me question my sanity 😁🤣

Congrats on the Substack! Liked seeing your favorites; the ear plug segment was very useful to me because I live in an old building with drafty windows on a major thoroughfare in my city, and between sirens, car radios turned up to 11, and people yelling drunkenly outside, I cannot sleep without ear plugs. [what a whinge!] Thanks for posting 🙂

I can't sleep in total silence it unerves me, so I have an old fashioned clock that ticks. But the one and only time I ever had to use ear plugs was because of a snoring husband, now the problem has been suitably got rid of, I don't need them any longer 😁! Love the jacket btw, must peruse Vinted.

Hello Ruth! I love your Isabel Maran's jacket. I'm also quite sensitive to the noise so thank you for the earplugs recomendation. Would you mind please to let me know the color/brand of your nail polish? Is so lovely and summery! Thank you!

Maybe go on line (or your local haberdasher) and get an iron on patch for your shorts? I know all about favourite ratty old clothes! 😉

Totally off-topic (I bet you hate those words), do you mind me asking: do you use self-tan on your legs and if so, could you recommend what you use? Or is it just the remnants of your Disney World tan? All hail to Fish 'n chips Thursdays! 🙌🏻

No, it's honestly because I spend half the year in the shorts! Ha! Now and then I use the gradual one from Gatineau but not during the summer.

Why not do the Japanese art of repair on your shorts, “Sashiko” I did it on my vintage Levi’s and it fixes things in an intentional artistic way.

Darn the shorts!! 5 minutes of stitches.
@RuthCrilly6 ай бұрын
Will they then look weird though? As though they've been pinched closed? I'm so useless at sewing!!
@pheart23816 ай бұрын
Or add a patch from behind. Make a feature of it. It wont look pinched if you darn it because you are adding volume rather than some of it going into a seam.
