My First Vol Biv - Chamonix to Les Quatre Têtes, July 2023

First VolBiv (Paragliding Camping) in France. Just one night out. The weather had been so bad that we couldn't manage a flight window of more than one overnight, and even so it was sketchy to fly the next day.
We id 25k, leaving from Planpraz, Chamonix, then XC to Passy, then across from Varan to Les Quatre Tetes. We didn't manage to stay up and soar the Aravis ridge, so we just camped there and flew down to the valley the next day.
It was a good shakedown flight to test out the kit & get used to all the details of flying, landing & hiking with so much weight (26 kilos), improvising a launch above the treeline between rain systems, and dealing with marginal conditions.

I think I crossed you guys on the ground near the altiport. Couldn't make the connection either. Next day the flying was actually quite ok, managed to go around half of the Aravis (with a burger stop at the col des Aravis)
