Hope you are doing well. Idk if that helps, but every second woman develops cancer during their lifetime and every 3rd man. So it's not about eating plant based or being mindful or doing exercise that causes it or that you could have helped not to get it. it is sadly a sickness that a lot of people get. I hope you will feel better soon and belong to the many people living cancer free after treatment ;).

I know what you've been going through. I've been battling cancer for over 13 years now. I've had 'hard' chemo for many many months over this time. I chose to control my life instead of the cancer controlling it. I always kept on going to work during my treatments . I was doing chemo once a week for 4 weeks- a 2 week break and start again over a period of 6 months. I had this regimen 4 times so far. And in between this regimen, I take chemo pills. It's taxing my body but I'm glad to still be here. I know I'll fight it till I die but in the meantime, I'm happy with the life I have. Keep on smiling, and when you have bad days, take in an hour at a time, the next day will be better. And enjoy the moment !! 😊😊🤗🤗

@@mythaichannel9082 oh no I'm so sorry to hear this, especially on Xmas day 😪 I've now finished my treatment but found a breast lump during the last week. Luckily I was given the all clear for that on Wednesday. If it gives you any hope I was so scared but I sailed through both chemo and radiotherapy and had no major problems apart from tiredness until the last week. That was then the burns from radio which have now healed almost completely after 4 weeks. Also, looking on the positive side which I have tried to do all the way through this I made some wonderful new friends that were all undergoing treatment at the same time. I won't know for another couple of months if I'm in remission but if not then I know I have the strength in me, as well as the support I need to go smash it all over again. My top tips would be listen to your body and trust your gut, lean on your support people and learn to not only accept but ask for the help you need and keep as positive a mindset as possible. I found an amazing meditation on KZbin that I got them to play every day during radiotherapy and it totally got me through that part. I will keep you in my thoughts and send you positive, healing vibes. Please pop by from time to time and let me know how you're doing 🙏 I hope you manage to enjoy the holiday as much as you can then gather your strength and go smash it 💪 you've totally got this xxx

Eamon: Thank you for letting us watch all the caring you are providing Bec. I was in Bec’s place 4.5 years ago, and although I thanked my husband all the time, your videos give me another perspective of the stress this causes you too. I didn’t perceive the toll on my husband, probably because I was feeling so sick. Bec: You are strong, you have awesome support from family and friends. It is a long road, but you will get through this. Thank you for sharing your struggles. My advice is, figure out when chemo is over. You will have 2-4 weeks before surgery. Take a week vacation to a place where you are not doing all the work, stay in a hotel, if your want. This will be the time when you will be feeling well, with no pain, no sickness and traveling will be so awesome. Make some memories. I was able to vacation with my husband and 9 year old because it ended up working out (chemo was delayed a week due to illness) that chemo ended before my son’s spring break, and surgery did not happen until after his spring break. We went to Utah in April and visited many of the national parks, and hiked in them. I never would have thought of this except I had already started planning the trip before I was diagnosed. I asked the oncology nurse if I should cancel our plans. She said don’t cancel yet, things may work out. And only because the extension of my chemo by a week, we were able to keep our plans for this vacation. Thinking about you, and sending e-strength.

Bec, when I was diagnosed with brest cancer last spring I came to the conclusion that I was suppose to be an example to someone else of how to walk through the fire of cancer. I currently know of 2 people who were watching. My guess is, with this channel, you and Eamon are suppose to be examples to many who will have to go on this cancer journey. Both as the one with cancer and the one who supports and care for them. And, you're doing a great job. They need to see the good and the bad, your courage, your fears and your tears. Look cancer straight in the eye, then kick it to the curb. You got this. Prayers.

I don’t like your word choice “supposed”. There is no such thing as this is how you are supposed to get through cancer treatment. My Oncologist told me I was “supposed” to quit my job. I didn’t. I worked every day, including sitting in the chemo chairs. I was “supposed” to shave my head. Nope, the little bit of hair I kept brought me so much comfort. I was “supposed” to become a raw vegan. Nope, I haven’t been able to digest fruits and vegetables since I started treatment. To anyone going through a cancer journey, please allow yourself to set your own path and know that is the right choice.

Don’t wash your hair at all or only once a month during chemo don’t brush it often honestly just braiding it and leaving it along is best but don’t let it get knotted(rats nest) just comb softly!! This sounds crazy but anything is worth a shot and like I said the ppl I’ve seen do this didn’t lose much of their hair at all it got very thin but no bald spots or anything! The 72 didn’t wet or wash all through chemo and saw best results she did have some scans we took care of as needed and they healed up with no hair loss!

Ok I pulled over to write a little note. Your reactions were spot on to my own when I was diagnosed with leukemia. I thought I had done something wrong and that’s why I got it but as my dad says: “that’s the cards you were dealt!” And you can handle this. I also had the red devil but my pee was orange but it made me feel awful but it wasn’t the worst out of all the different chemos I had. I did treatment for 3 years and even became bedridden but I’m still going! I’ll tell you 2 things that helped me that may help you. 1. It’s ok to not eat during chemo. I found that fasting during and after was better and recovered faster. 2. Watermelon slushee. Just ice and cut up watermelon. It help sooth my stomach sooo much. Hope this encourages you some! You can do it!! ❤️

My wife Siggi was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2011, she visited her surgical doctor last week and was told she is officially cured of cancer (10 year checkup)! Bec, I'm 67 and I had breast cancer in 2018. Double mastectomy, chemo, reconstruction, radiation, asked for a hysterectomy. It's all good sweetie. I wore scarves that coordinated with my outfits and got compliments from total strangers. I had a very positive additude through the whole thing. But I'll admit, losing my eyelashes and eyebrows was the hardest. (Btw, this picture is old. I now have salt and pepper color and a pixie cut which I love). Hang in there, life is wonderful. I had a huge support system and so do you.

So glad to see this!! Some observations: I love that instead of sitting helplessly just waiting for the chemo, that you are actively doing things to give yourself more control over the situation. Don't know if you are just fostering that guy, but he NEEDS to stay, he loves you so much already. Dogs are great mood lifters! Love that you are reframing the hair loss by doing proactive stuff. A wig made from your hair, what a great idea! They fact that you've got long enough hair is a bonus, although I am pretty sure you would be stunning bald. Lastly, I love that you and Emon are taking care of each other and leaning into each other. This is so hard and you need each other. Thank you for taking us along on this journey. Seeing you with your head over a bowl was important, because later, you are surviving, taking a walk, and thriving again. That is important to know for everyone facing this journey. Praying for you and cheering you on!!

When you all started your journey with cancer I remember thinking I know what they are going through. My mother a few years back had stage 4 cancer and is now recovered and cancer free. I haven’t been through what you are going through, but I have struggled with chronic illness for the past decade - two things that help me a ton is the Spoon Theory and having a “day” bed. The spoon theory is a way of understanding your emotional and physical energy with illness, and just moving to a different place for the day and keeping it separate from where I sleep at night (even if I sleep all day, it’s in the day bed) helps my sleep quality and mindset. Praying for you both!
@cadavher2 жыл бұрын
I've heard the spoon theory, and use something similar to deal with my chronic illness/pain, but had never heard the bed thing. I used to have a daybed in my living room instead of a couch, because that way if I needed to lay down at least I was in the living room not my bedroom. My family and friends thought it was ridiculous having a bed in the living room and always brought it up, so I ended up moving it and putting a couch instead. But the couch is so not comfortable and I find myself depressed laying in my bedroom for sometimes weeks at a time all morning and night. Now knowing this is a thing, I'm putting my daybed back!!! It's my home, I live alone, I should be able to put even a real bed there instead of a couch should I choose lol. Even though this comment was for Bec💛💛, I'd like to thank you for it because this just reassured me to continue with something I really appreciated.

Hey Bec, Watching you go through this reminds me of my mom when she had cancer. She was also very healthy just like y’all. It was hard to watch someone so healthy deteriorate over time. When they found it she was already stage 4. Unfortunately because of that we lost her a few years later. However, she still had such a full life and never treated it as a death sentence. I love your similar positive attitude about it. I know that this is not a death sentence for you and you will get through this!

I cried when I watched this. I took treatment for hepatitis c a few years ago before all the new drugs. I was in treatment for 7 long months. I was a single mom, but my daughter had gone off to college, so I started treatment. It’s was hard. The drugs are hard. The loneliness was hard. I didn’t want to burden anyone so I powered thru. I’m so proud of how you are approaching your treatment. Being kind to yourself, listening to your body, allowing your support group to be there for you. You have all of us. My husband lost his first wife to cancer. He and I both battled it at the same time in 2019. We have watched you and Eamon from the beginning. We have adopted you in our hearts. I guess I just wanted to send you love and support. Love, hugs and prayers from a southern gentleman and his sassy yankee wife!

Best wishes to both of you and thank you so much for sharing this journey, including the ugly negatives as well as the beautiful positives. Three things you said in the video felt so relatable, as someone who recently had surgery and radiation therapy for a (thankfully benign) tumor: (1) the treatment making you feel worse than you did before diagnosis, which is such a weird thing to come to terms with, (2) pets showing us the importance of rest and doing what feels right in the moment, and (3) recognizing the emotional impact on the partner and caregiver. Glad you're both getting a lot of support and love. Adding mine! 💜

Its been 21 years and 10 months since my first chemo of A/C and I remember being so very anxious. I have helped many with information for their journey, because I believe 'Knowledge is Power.' You are sharing soooo much power with others! I offer: don't look at it as 5 months..take a week at a time. A treatment at a time. After the second treatment I used to call day 3 "The Pit" Day. I really was not sure I would get better, but, I always crawled out of that pit. You will, too! You are strong going into this so you are going to make it, but keep your energy expectations low. ALLOW yourself rest. One of my favorite song in 2000 when I went through my chemo was Barbara Streisand The Main Event/Fight. It was a weird little movie about boxing, but I would imagine little boxing gloves in my veins punching out the bad cells...fight, fight fight! And they were so busy fighting, I was pooped! Go with it! You are blessed to have a healthy body going into it. Love surrounds you. Dogs ALWAYS know and Oso sure loves you! Take his energy of love to help you through! And ZOFRAN! Best anti-nausea pill EVER and it is still out there! Allow yourself PIT DAYS. You will come out of it. You got this. One treatment at a time.

She also went through 8 rounds of chemo and did the 4 “red devil” rounds. She did genetic testing and cancer does not run in the family. It’s been tough dealing with something so unexpected and I have been so scared for her. She just recently finished all of her chemo and has started radiation. You are so strong and will handle this all so well. I know reading all of other people’s stories on social media about their journey can be motivating and can also bring anxiety. I just hope you keep seeking the sunshine! Prayers for you two🤍

Love the hair cut, super cute. I remember when my friend was going through treatment she said she didn't want to be a cancer survivor, she wanted to be a person who had had cancer. It wasn't all she was. So I determined to do , say and act the same and if she wanted to talk about it I would follow her lead. Just like anything else she had gone through . There were so many funny moments in her journey and we still laugh at them. Find the humour in the most horrible thing and you will prevail. IE: When my friend was telling me about how it felt when her hair started growing back she mentioned she had found one tiny hair sticking out of her head. As the days passed that one hair sort of took on its own life and charger. Because she was an artist I suggested she visualize one strand hair styles. We came up with some seriously funny hairstyles. But the one she remembers with a smile on her face is when I suggested she protect it in a straw and put little bows on different straws. . Colour coorindinate the bows to her mood. She didn't actually do it but it brought such a smile to her and a giggle when she visualized it. Another funny moment was when she was going through reconstruction and mentioned all she wanted was her new nipples. As it was xmas I started singing all I want for xmas is my new nipples. We both started laughing hysterically while everyone around us thought we were crazy. We have the same sense of humour so it was funny to us. The point I guess is you will find what works for you. It doesn't have to be what everyone else does. It just has to be what makes it easier and true to who you are. Cancer will always be a part of the journey but it isn't THE journey. It isn't all you are, you are so much more. You have a great partner and there will be days where you will need to be there for him as well. Be you and be happy.

I have been following you guys for a while and when my mom told me yesterday, she was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer, it helped me so much to deal with it that I had seen your story and how you got through it❤ In the media we normally see only the stories with sad endings, that are luckily becoming so rare with breast cancer! So seeing the ups and downs of a more typical cancer story like Becs helps so much to have realistic expectations😊

It reminds me that all we need is love and support from people we admire and love to feel happiness and joy. Sending all my love and prayers! Xx

Watched my mom go through cancer 3 time, chemo and radiation countless times. Bec, if I could give you the warmest hug I would. Eamon, you deserve all the good things for being an incredible support. Sending love ❤️

I never comment but I remember watching you when you first started and I love how your relationship has grown and strengthened. You both are going to come out of this season okay. As well, I feel humbled by how you express and respect Eamon's space and his journey. This is something I need to work on in my marriage and in the midst of your battle, you are still encouraging your viewers. Praying for you Bec. Can't wait for your cancer free vlog!!!!

Hey Bec, I also went through chemotherapy. I spent almost 3 months in hospital, taking drugs and recovering. It's been almost 3 years since it's all ended and I can imagine what you are going through. Every time you cry I see myself in a similar situation. I know you will make it and everything will be fine. You are young and strong. Be grateful for everyone close to you in this process - that's the lesson I learn by going through my treatment. When everything falls apart you have only them and nothing is more important than your loved ones.

Thank you for your incredible courage in sharing your experience. My daughter is 42 years old and was just diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. Our journey is just beginning and seeing your courage is inspiring for my wife, my daughter, and myself. We send our love and prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. 😊❤️
