As you can see my progress wasn’t the fastest or best like those other videos you’ve seen. Even though that’s true I’m really proud of myself because of all the things I’ve accomplished this year. I left my mistakes in to show you that not everything is perfect especially when you are learning. I really hope you’ve enjoyed and that this inspired you.

Yes you are right. Most people aren't patient and want to make their dream com true fast. But then when they understand that the guitar needs more trying, they get disappointed and quit it. Some people are patient, keep tryng to learn to play the guitar and make their dream come true.

I'm only 30 seconds into this video, and she's trying a Dimebag song in her first month. I miss the feeling of listening to a song and thinking, I love it, I'm going to learn it. Now I listen to a song like "Walk" and think, well I can play the hook, but that solo is way out of my skill level. I'm going to watch the rest, of course, but I can already tell she's going to be great. She didn't put limits on herself.

Nice. Aha. Take on Me. My wife would get a kick out of that. She likes that one. Nice video. Your progress is fine. I think all of us more normally paced folks need to remember that many of these progress videos, especially a lot of the pre-pandemic ones, represent much-higher-than-average success stories. That's why they're on here. :) Also, with most of them, we don't see the rejected takes. That's what's so great about your approach. I like that you leave in the mistakes. It gives people a more realistic picture of what learning guitar is really like. I took a few group lessons in my first couple of years, so I got a dose of reality - from the ones who raced ahead of me in my earliest classes, to the ones I am so sad to report I discouraged by being a bit too good in my later ones. And it's not as if I was all that good. It's just that this is hard at first, and it is really easy to get discouraged. In person lessons from a real teacher can help with perspective on your progress, too, because they can give you feedback. But in the pandemic, of course, most of us have been starting, or attempting to continue, without that feedback, and have been relying on KZbin, or Fender Play, or Justin Sandercoe /Marty Schwartz, et al. All good stuff, but not quite the same as real time feedback from other guitar players. What you have done here helps to give an antidote to that, and give people some perspective, both by leaving in the mistakes, and by making good progress. Thank you. Nice job.

I left my messed up takes on the video because everytime I would put the video on to record I would mess up so a video of me playing where I don’t mess up was very rare but I also wanted to show that how it’s normal to make mistakes especially when you are a new guitar player. I watched a lot of progress videos and they were all so fast at their progress so I just wanted go show that not everyone is the same.

I kind of just played whenever I felt like it, I’m the beginning it was like everyday but then as it went on it go to be every other day. Usually practiced for 5 minutes to 40 minutes. Fender play was fine at first but it’s not the best. You can say that for every online course, I just stop using it after a few weeks or less.

This is such a different approach from my own 8 month progress like i really rushed things by playing a solo in the first week and it kinda helped me but now im really burnt out sadly only practiced by noodling cuz im rlly bored at learning new songs by that i kinda lost motivation :p
@krisimanasieva422
@krisimanasieva422 2 жыл бұрын
I also always tried to rush things and there’s times when I don’t feel like playing or learning anything new or even listening to music. For example right now one of my guitars has rusty strings but I haven’t gotten to changing them In months and I don’t want to play it, the other one is like Permian try out of tune cause I messed up when changing strings and the last one needs it’s truss rode adjusted so can’t play anything on it because it doesn’t make sound but I’ll eventually get the motivation to fix them up. Like I just finished playing the last of us part 2 and they play a lot of guitar in that game which made me want to play on mine so maybe soon I can get those strings changed. Anyways sorry for this long reply I judged wanted to share this with you because I tend to loss motivation very easily even though it doesn’t look like it in the video but that’s totally normal and good luck to you.

I'm just about there maybe a little farther. But I do not want to play rock and roll. Not sure what I want to play but it will be to lift people up and encourage them to faith in God. Guess I'll have to set a new standard if there is one. Lol

What amp did you start playing with? I want to learn but I don't know which one to buy
@krisimanasieva422
@krisimanasieva422 2 жыл бұрын
Im so sorry Im commenting this late but honestly I went to the store and asked the sales people for a beginners amp. Anything around the price of 50-100 dollars will do you fine I think that’s about how much mine was. Just ask the people working there to help and I suggest buying your guitar in a store instead of online so that you can try it out.
