do you shoot film? what camera? what film? i'm excited to get deeper into this hobby & learn from u all!
@bigal26432 жыл бұрын
Yes. I use a half frame film camera for vacations and a Canon Rebel film camera for ‘serious’ stuff- or when I use expensive film. My Canon Rebel K2 is super reliable and takes good glass.

When my father passed away, I discovered a Canon AE1 and this model in a box. I can still remember when he took photos with these cameras when we were kids. I restored the ae1 and now I'm going to try to bring the a35m to life. Great video! ✌️

Wonderful. Exactly the reason why I started shooting film. It is SUCH an inconvenience if you think about the downsides (cost, vulnerability of the film etc.) but also so rewarding with regards to memories.

sir, i haven’t even finished the video yet but i just want to say that i love and appreciate your self awareness so much! also, i’m thinking of purchasing this canon camera and your film photos really helped to convince me :)

I feel a good vibe from this. Oftentimes I get pretty indulged in my phone and get distracted by it for long periods of time. It's something I've been trying to work on. I think that trying foffer hobbies like film photography as an example or something else I can indulge myself into can help me broaden my horizons and be more in the present moment. It's something I'm still working on but it's getting better.

I've been actually feeling the same way about social media I've actually gotten rid of my phone and I'm so thankful for this video cause it kinda reassured me in a way.

I got started with film photography in May 2020! It's become my main obsession with like 20 cameras now and doing all of my own developing and occasionally darkroom printing. It's really made me look at everything differently

In all seriousness, even the exposures that got messed up looked good. I have the same camera and if my photos look anything like yours I’m hyped

I just bought the same camera at a yard sale for $1! It was dirty and a battery exploded in it but I cleaned it up and it works if you are interested let me know.

What was the issue / what did you do wrong that first time putting the film in? I just started my first film with this camera I just hope my technique was ok :) Cool calm vid thanks for sharing your experience :)
@georgepoulos22 жыл бұрын
i just didn't quite shove the film in enough to lock it in the spokes. make sure you see that red/white tape wiggle each time you shoot a photo and you should be good!
