I thought the same. But unfortunately that’s how it works on KZbin. It’s a transactional process. A lot of viewers don’t commit to a channel based off one video. Sometimes it takes them awhile to want to commit if they are unsure what they will get from said channel. It’s really hard and you get in your head a lot but I just know eventually the rewards will be much greater than the current struggle ❤

KZbin is a channel just like TV. We see snippets of shows and commercials for products all the time. We may see an informative commercial or watch 20 minutes of a show. Doesn't mean we're going to start buying the products and/or care about keeping up with new episodes every time they come out. Media is media is media. It's all the same.

The journey is tough to get 1,000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours, but I think it makes it more rewarding once you are accepted into the program. KZbin has a way of weeding out the ones that aren’t committed to the grind. We got this y’all! Keep posting🧡

Agreed Terri. I found that going live helped with getting me to that 4K watch time fairly quick so I advise new creators looking to monetize to go live 2 -3 times a week. It also helps to boosts your subscribers and because you're live, most of the people who subscribe to you from your lives are there for the long haul because they actually get to know you during the live. This is what I do and I continue to grow organically. You definitely want subscribers who are going to actually watch and engage with your content. Keep grinding Queen!

Game nights are fun and you can even use Streamyard and have someone come on the live with you for panel discussions; movie, food, series reviews. An hour goes by super quick when you're live. If you have just 20 people in your live, once you sign off you will already have 20 wach time hours and those hours will then begin to add up from those who come and watch the replay. The hardest part, the first time, is actually clicking the LIVE button. Once you're over that, it's smooth sailing.

YT is glamorized so much but for fresh creators, it is excruciatingly hard to not give up because you don't see rewards before the partnership. Figuring out the content, chanel, editing, equipment etc is hard enough. I recommend creating Shorts as much as possible to gain new viewers access. This video is encouraging that we can all do it. I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened in 2023. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

I'm close to be monetized as I "just" need 1K watch hours. For me making videos is something I enjoy to do, but it is definitely a good incentive when you know that your work will be paid too. It gives you the strength and desire to be even better and to make even better and more interesting videos!
