i mean ive seen the hatman, i was on a lot of diphenhydramine at the time, diphenhydramine is obviously a sedative antihistamine, halucinations of the hat man are incredibly common on large doses of diphenhydramine, check r/dph if you want to see examples. the hat man halucination is probably related to your H! histamine receptors in your brain, h1 Histamine receptors are very important in the regulation of sleep. and diphenhydramine binds to your H1 and H3 histamine receptors, the hallucination could be something related to that, ofcourse im probably completely wrong but since the hallucination is so common with high doses diphenhydramine its probably not anything supernatural and more just a chemical misfiring in the brain.

Dude I experience Sleep Paralysis and it is hard to distinguish what is real and not, But I shit you not I have had times were I am fully awake and I still experience Black Cats walking across my body, I am and always have been into Satanic things even though I know Satan is not real *(I like the things you don't like, Because I don't like you; Said me to the Christian)*.....Although Evil and Good energies are 100% real and Religions try to capture these universal energies we just can't describe in our earthly ways. I once stared into the face of one of these figures and it took years of getting over the fear in order to pull this off, Anyway I turned my head and asked it "Why and what are you?" And what stared back at me was the eternal void, Empty space and Unloving infinince that could not be understood, Almost like The Universe looking into you, A universe without light, A Universe without emotion or human understanding, It outpaced my Monkey brain and my ineptitude to fully grasp such Blackness......Yah after that I never saw that figure again even though it used to scare me like a child when I first saw it......Either I conquered it, Or it entered me which is a scary thought in and of it self.

You could have visual snow. I see figures in the dark all the time because of my visual snow. Visual Snow Syndrome is super unknown and so it is concidered rare, but it's really hard to say since it's so unknown. Fs something to look into though. Feel free to ask me questions about it. Psychedelics, head trama, you could just always have had it, among other things

Not the same thing. It's an actual figure that either walks in your room and stands their and watches you or interacts with intimidating manners. In my case it had leaned over extremely close to my face. Definitely theirs a degree of intelligence to these shadows & especially the hatman
