Thanks for showing me your setup. I, too, have a Perception Outlaw 11.5, but it has not hit the water yet. It’s still a bit cold here in SW Virginia. I saw your trolling motor setup and was curious about it. My Outlaw is stock so the cutouts haven’t been made. I would have to do those before I could do such a mount. I already have a trolling motor from another boat I own. Thanks for the idea about the mounting of your Garmin and where you put your battery.

Love my outlaw I use the scupper holes in front of seat to hold rod when unhooking fish etc

i have this kayak … i like it very much … wish the seat was more adjustable and. that the front seat mounts weren’t there but rather they designed the chair diffrently without the front mounts ….

Thank you. I am aware but I've bumped the paddle off of the holder while handling a fish. LoL, it does work fine most of the time.

I put the battery in a milk crate that I have behind the seat. I use a battery box also to keep the day from getting wet. it's not a full size battery.

I haven't found a car that I'm happy with. I've got one but I had to add some aluminum and some padding. it ain't pretty but it works.

Thanks for the vid! I have the exact same kayak in the same colour with the same motor and tiller extension arm. Love the perception outlaw!! Just wonder if you use a lithium battery for the trolling motor? Take care

Hi Johnny. I'm using a smaller AGM battery from West Marine. The lithium batteries are still a little to expensive. I get about 6 hours out of the AGM if I use it a lot. Is a 32Ah group U1.

Do you fish inshore? If so, how does it do in choppy water or going over waves in the intercoastal waterways caused by passing boats? Thanks.

The seat sits you up high. But the sides are low to the water. I've encountered wakes from passing boats with no problem. But I was probably 75 to 100 yards away from the channel. They were big enough for me to turn the bow into the waves but they weren't too bad. Not big enough to bring water over the bow. But like I said the sides do sit low to the water.
