I have that schrade in 5 and 7 (I think ? ) in both rubber and micarta. I love them, just beginning to use them in retirement. Very tough. They handle so well. You would have to put in a long hard day to destroy one of those knives. I prefer a lighter knife most of the time, but them is choppers, and at the price point they are great to toss in kits and cars and behind the bar. Schrade is underrated I think. Especially for old farts. How much will I get to use it. My son will get them all in perfect shape.

Hey Thats Greaat!! Thanks so much for commenting! As a collector its not about Practicality.. its about diverisity and handling and buying all different types of knives... I happen to be more of a folder guy, but Ill try and come up with a Great Knife Rec for you that wont break the bank... the Lionsteel M3 I show is a Tremendous knife , and i dont mean in size.. its Light Tough and Sharp as heck! I had to look it up and youre right.. I like SOG Very much,, I m 95% folder guy 5% Fixed blade..

@@wcreview8227 it's Aus 8 which I think is widely underestimated. I've been using mine for heavy chopping for ten years and the edge is perfect. It's a stick tang but the lack of weight in the handle makes for better balance. On the downside the sheath is nice but the retention stinks, terrible design flaw. __Drew Say hi to Nick for me!

Thanks so much! that is a one of a Kind! I believe it was called something like "The Mercinary" and I had my pal Satu Dave do a ReGrind on it that Completely changed the knife... if you like it that much and have something youd like to trade me for it, I am open to discussions!.. Let me know!
