awesome! i love this channel. i have a question: if i create my own template that i like to use, because of course i dont want to organize the mixer/channel rack/set up a drum kit every time i make a new song, is it okay to just file/save as/"template" then simply right click and select copy? that way if i start writing something, i always have an "empty" version of a template? ive seen videos of folks creating templates then walking through all this navigation of where im supposed to save it and in what file, etc. FL Studio basically isnt aware im making templates, its more my computer. im assuming the benefits of this are just storage/memory? cheers

Is it possible to start producing music without having any science background? I am a commerce graduate and there is so much physics involved with sound design and filters and signals passing through the master, sample rate, bit rate, what is the bus, etc. Where do I start? Does all this come under a certain subject that I can read up?I want to start producing music and I would love to win an FL studio!! Looovvveeee your channel BTW!
@nobodyeverinhistory4 жыл бұрын
Making music is one thing, but understanding music is another. Everyone can make music, but if you really want to understand it (and by "understand" it, I am referring to deep and extensive knowledge on music; which seems to be the you are suggesting) then that takes time and effort. Everyone can make music, with or without a DAW, with or without standard instruments. Just know that making music doesn't have to be complicated, it's only complicated if you make it complicated. You don't need a background in a STEM field, you don't have to be a literal Physicist, you just have to have the drive, mindset, and ear for music. Going deeper into what you call "science," I feel like you're referring to sound design; or you're actually referring to the science/physics of acoustics, or some other more analytical field of sound-based science. If what you meant by "science" is sound design, then that's straight forward. Sound Design refers to the crafting of sounds, creating neat sounds through unique means. From something as simple as recording your hands clapping to fiddling with parameters in digital instruments, sound design is all about creating and experimenting with sound. It's not that complicated, it doesn't have to be as complicated as you make it seem. TL;DR You don't have to be a literal rocket scientist to make music, it's not as complicated as you seem to think it is. Everyone can make music, with or without a DAW, with or without standard instruments.
