Hey Steve this is bizarre. In the past few months you dropped next door to two out of my 3 shop locations and now you dropped off at Jim Burnett's place. I know him and bought one of my bucket trucks from him. He is an unbelievable metal fabricator. Should have left the frame rail with him. The guy running the forklift is one of the best welders I've ever seen. Hope I run into you at some point seeing as you are in this neighborhood so much

$0.90 a gallon difference is insane.... But I've actually seen worse, on I-5 in California, I remember hitting my favorite fuel stop at $4.19 a gallon....and stopping at literally the next exit, less than 3 miles away (which had a favorite fast food place I wanted lunch from) where the price of fuel was $6.09. I've used fuel apps like Gasbuddy ever since, because highway robbery *is* really making a comeback.

You get good day's and bad day's when you think you can reverse in one shot and it tacks 3 or 4 I'm a retired European truck driver myself and I know how frustrating that can be and My problem was my cabover was right hand drive and everything in Europe is designed for left hand drive as you have state side, it can only get better for us.

The only truly corrosion resistant frame rails Steve are galvanised hot dipped it’s inexpensive and will last the life of the truck just make sure you don’t have any more work to do on the rails before dipping

Remember, Steve builds up a backlog of videos over time, there's a very good chance that everything we're watching is several months after the fact. As to why he's bleeping out the state and business name? From the sound of things, they only wanted to work something out with him due to the exposure they'd get from his KZbin channel, so it looks like he's bleeping out the state and the name of the company so that they don't get that benefit. It's particularly telling that, in the same video, he then talks about another company in Ohio and he's not bleeping out the name of the state, so that suggests this is probably working out better for him.

@davonjones8402 when you double plate steel, especially in this climate with road salt, the frames rust jack. Factory frames are very prone to this. This is the reason I am not using the original "trunion" style crossmembers from the 352. They are effectively a double frame for 1.5 feet. They were bowed inward terribly. I know guys who have done the sleeve n stretch. The frames are absolute trash after 10 years of use. I have thought this through for quite a long time.

No. Because the front of the foward springs attach to the Ford's cast aluminum frame horn. The same part that has the cab mounts all in one cast.
