Those bridges you saw in Cleveland cross the Cuyahoga river and they are draw bridges, huge freighters come off of Lake Erie and go down that river to get loaded with coal and ore. It's a real treat to see because it looks like there's not enough room to get through, but tugs thread them up and down that twisted river.

Thanks for the views. My brother, my friend and I were visitors to the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. We had tickets to three events including hockey. All we saw and felt was snow, ice and freezing temperatures. It was a great time!!

The Winter Olympics were first held in lake placid in 1932. This is the first time the games were played outside Europe. The venue was built specifically for the games and upgraded for the 1980 games. If I remember correctly the 84 games were played in Japan.

They use the venues for training and special events, like concerts and other special interests.. I used to drive up Whiteface every day. When you said mountain, that's what I was thinking. Then I didn't recognize anything until you pulled out onto 73. You were at the ski jumps and bobsled run area.

For 10 years I was going to Lake George for the Adirondack Nationals car show. There were about 7000 classic cars in town For the car show. One of our trips there we did go to Lake Placid. Beautiful scenery!!! It is always the week end after Labor day!!!

In 83 I worked for an abatement company, I drove a box truck to St. Regis Falls School 5 times. Empty up, loaded back. Drove past the ski jump 5 times. Very beautiful there... 😎

steve i used to work for a lumber company at exit 28 as a driver class b for 11years.i used to love going to lake placid.past where you dropped off is those huge ski jumps were they fly crazy distances on the two large skis.and right in the main part of lake placid is where they had the hockey arena.our olympic team beat russia there in hockey.they had events in a lot of different areas.if you went threw when the leaves changed colors it is amazing.i live in arizona know this footage brought back a lot of good times

Hey Steve, Lake Placid is a great place to ride motorcycles. Every year on or about the first week of June, there is a large bike rally known as AMERICADE. Look it up! You just passed thru the Keen Valley on rte. 73.... Safe travels my friend.......

The lake a long 73 has a waterfall called cascade falls that freezes during the winter and people ice climb it. Really cool to see.

Lots of hiking trails off rt. 73 just outside of Lake Placid. That was the reason for all those vehicles parked on the side of the road. A beautiful place to be, but crowded in the summer.

Yes the Olympic center is still used for training. The bob sled area has a tourist area and you use to be able to pay to go down part of the course. The ski jumps are also up there and you can pay to go to the top of those as well. Come leaf peeping season here in a couple weeks the road you drove out on would be a traffic jam. I love what this state has with the exception of its leadership lol. The true upstate nys is amazing. Im surprised you did placid then Schenectady unless you took 81n to Watertown then got to lake placid that way. NYS is not very atv friendly for awhile they were even stopping snowmobiles from riding. Thanks for the ride through the Adirondacks. Schenectady will probably be a pain but no where like the sub base.

Steve, you can actually go for bobsled rides there. If you get a chance get your bike and bring it up to the Adirondack/Lake Placid area. They have in event in late May, early June called Americade. It's a motorcycle touring rally. It's kind of dying out like most things these days, but that area is awesome to ride through. Ive got tons of places I can tell ya to ride to. Or if yer up there around Americade I can meetup and take you and Jen for some cool rides.

It is a good opportunity to buy some land on both sides of Nevada and California as a transfer station with Tesla Semi trucks running back and forth each way; keeping those "nasty" coal rollers out. Imaging $3000/oz (gold cost only a little more) transfer rate. Like printing your own money and watching the western gulag rot.

Love the Adirondacks! Try to get up there every summer to camp and canoe . Not sure about side bys and 4 wheeler up there . Lots of regs in park. If you dont own land your kinda screwed unless you know people that do. Or you go to private park you pay to get in. There are a couple near me off 86 . One off exit 35 and one over by 30 . Oh and real truckers dont wear flip flop or crocks Ya i know but thats what i wear why i canoe the Adirondack❤😂

Even with my opinons, I will watch every one of your videos. I am not a fan of the under the hood/engine while moving camera. Also, more out the windshield and less dashboard would be good. You just cannot beat the hanging camera looking out the windshield and especially the view from a camera on top of what you have on your trailer is awesome. Just my thoughts, love the videos.

Great under cab shot there. Curious if a few wire sleeves would be beneficial to keeping all the spray of road grime, (water, salt, brine, and any other BS that's on the road), away from the wiring above the wheel. Is that even practical and would that be something you might consider doing or am I just delusional? Growing up loads of trips up Jersey 206 or Jersey 10, between Highland Park- edison area and Culver Lake Stokes forest areas..or Lake Hopatcong..lol..had nuns teaching me when we lived there.. and weekends driving to West Point or Pennsylvania, or to the slopes..lol..Drum AND bugle Corp parades.. Port Jervis shopping trips and High Point.. then my dad got transfered from the proving grounds down to Virginia and we got stuck.. I got to see racism and other stuff I was not used to up close.. Loved Jersey but hated Virginia.. even the fish you caught with a bamboo pole couldn't be eaten in Virginia because it might have kepone..
