@@-Ryans Its upholstered with a small drop down decorative portion. I sacrificed about a 1/2 inch of room but it also made for a nice interior feel that I prefer over a boring higher roof ;)

For the two months I was on our build, the shop, tool bench's, floor, driveway, was a total mess. Only when I could not find any of my tools did I pull a "work stop" to clean up. Your shop looks like I could have my L4/l5 micro disk surgery in there.

Super cool build, that shower blew my mind. Style and finish are 11/10 you're some kind of wizard. I'd just make 3 changes, that slow ass/loud ass bed killed me bro lol, especially since you have to get up (easy fix). Swap the fridge and the toilet (pullout into doorway). Counter space is critical, and it looks like you sacrificed a lot of it to fit that fridge, the swap should also add 2" to the walkway ratio. That overhead speaker has to move bro, I'd like to save my headbutts for the soccer field. Much love, looks as good as any sprinter.

Great build, and I'm so glad someone else uses a cassette toilet and says it doesn't stink! I use one because my van is just for trips, and it's so easy to take care of. You are right - if you use the proper additive, it doesn't smell at all. I often wonder what those people are doing that claim they smell. They sure aren't maintaining it properly... Maybe if I was full time, I would feel differently. But if you aren't living in your van, can you imagine having to clean a composting toilet every time you just take the van out for a weekend, because you sure couldn't leave it while the van is parked for a few weeks! I just dump the cassette in my toilet when I return home - easy peasy!

The best thing you could do with one of those vans is sell advertising space for solar panels on the side. Then you'd look like you were selling the panels and no one would question your presence in the area. True stealth camping is about camouflage 👍

I have a 2018 Transit Connect that I want converted. I checked out your build and it is exactly what I'm looking for in a Stoke Machine. 🤘 I also just say your woodworking setup and man I don't think I'm handy enough to build it myself. If you do custom builds I want to get on that list. I'd have it dropped of whenever you'd have an opening. If you don't do builds for clients would you be down to share any specs and measurements? It's the same as exact van as I have.

Awesome build. Super clean and well thought out. Only thing I would have done differently is the bed change. Seems like a waste of limited battery power when gravity would take care of it on the way down, and a simple hand movement in the other direction. But, if you're not worried about it, it's all good.

It's basically several 500lbs heavy duty slides with a linear actuator that slide the whole bed. The back rest is just on a hinge.
