Thank you to your Secret Santa! I love watching this unboxing, and I actually like that you are opening it in January to lengthen the fun! I received the same socks, and think they are pretty, but haven't tried to wear them yet. Not sure what fragrance my soap is, but it is a very strong scent. I received the Alix D Reynis "porcelain bowl" which is now holding the soap - more useful than the teacup, I think. I love the candles & candle holder, but like others, would have really loved two. I tried to source a second one, but only found it on a french site that doesn't ship to the U.S.

Another good group of items from the MFCH Advent. Can't wait to see days 13-19! I LOVED the candle holder and candles. The candles are a little bit of a repeat, but this new colorway is pretty and because you use them up, they are a great item to be repeated.

I love the thin tapers and I like that they included the holder. The teacup was a miss for me. I don't drink much in the way of hot beverages, and those that I do, I like a mug.

Yeah, it's a little dainty demitasse that seems kind of sad solo. I'm sure I would've liked the bowl better.

Happy New Year’s Eve! A little more variation… My soap was rose (your favorite😂). I like the candle holder you received. My version was very different. I received two gold candleholders/adaptors. You can use them as holders on their own or they can be placed into other larger holders as adapters so that the small candles will fit. As someone else mentioned in the comments, I received the recipe book rather than the cup. Mine is dark green with gold sprayed edges. As for the socks, I received the same. Though I never would have purchased them myself, I have worn them with a pantsuit and closed toed heels. 🙂

Yes, they did refer to it as a "teacup" in their amended list, which was a possibility along with a bowl or recipe book. In my head, I think I just thought for sure I'd get the bowl or recipe book, so the demitasse was just unexpected.

I would use the demitasse cup in the bathroom or bedroom to hold perfume samples or for earrings I want to remember to wear or something similar. I like using pretty containers for storage so I get to see them regularly. My everyday makeup like concealer and mascara lives in a vintage bowl, and q-tips are in a pretty glass jar.

This is so fun, I laughed so hard at your reaction to the socks! 😂😂 🧦 I got leopard ones too and am IN LOVE. Beauty (and usability) truly is in the eye of the beholder 😂. I love them with loafers and flats, usually in the Fall (I got brown and black leaves last time). I hate socks but these make me feel like I'm not really wearing them yet keeps my shoes from rubbing. Ok, that was probably TMI, so moving on. I got a rose soap....glad you didn't 😂 ⚘️. How nice that your mom will enjoy it. That is quite the riding costume...looks like something we might have seen in the Vogue calendar, although they were all chicks. They did great with the candles and holder (although I totally got my Noel on and wanted a pair). Yes, the cup is the Alix piece. On my original list that I requested, it said a cup, bowl or recipe book from her. I got the book and it has the same coat of arms on it in gold. The book is navy and is to write your favorite recipes in. It's in French, bien sur, and I love it. Really cute cup, though. Almost espresso sized...hmmm.

Yes, weirdly I am OK with solo teacups BUT I like them to have a saucer (to go with my mismatched collection). And yes, I also want another super heavy candle holder. Very true about usability being in the eye of the beholder...there is a certain fuzzy item coming up that I love for it's uniqueness but just can't imagine myself using.

ok. First of all....REPEAT items! come on!!! Same socks, just a different color..that for me is a REPEAT ITEM. Second, I like the candles and the candle holder, but honestly, I would have loved to see a set of candle holders.

There is the tiniest chance that when I got the socks they were from "that other French box," but that was YEARS ago. If so, I'm still scarred. They didn't note those as a new variation, but...
