It's crazy how people think just because of our "friendship", they think disrespect is okay. I think we need to discuss boundaries within our friendship groups. But number one : DO NOT DISRESPECT ME

Am from Rwanda, love you ladies 😍🥰. For the dilemma, the guy should report this to the government authorities in Rwanda, they have zero tolerance for exploitation especially for government workers "cause the guy works for the national bank." If she knows his full name and has a picture, she can contact the Rwandan embassy in the US and they'll help her. I also think she should prepare some evidence like proof of transfers and texts about the money issue just in case the guy denies it.

I'm in the process of cutting ...started to realize that my friend and my husband's (well soon-to-be ex husband) "work relationship" was much more than that 🤷♀

I love Sharon's look❤❤ I definitely can relate to those married friends cutting off singles.. Mine told us clearly (in her words) "I now have a husband and a home to build ,so i won't have time for those ladies hangout anymore, Pray you girls find yours soon"... She sent these to our group few weeks after we went all out to celebrate her

It took me 10yrs to realise it was a competition like Shannon said there is healthy competition/motivation but when the person is doing the things you wanted to do and mentioning it in a nonchalant way it’s weird and I started to analyse all throughout our friendship and realised it was a weird competition all along

I agree with Tammy, that 9 year age gap is a red flag. Many people go straight from undergrad to masters and you haven't really seen the real world!

here to comment about the "friend in competition" ...i completely agree with Beatrice that sometimes things could simply look like someone is competing but not actually be doing so...HOWEVER, i feel like energy doesnt lie. i have cut a friend off bc i felt she was secretly in competition with me. I let it slide for a few instances, but the issue came when I felt like she couldn't genuinely be happy for me and my accomplishments. It felt like this friend operated from a "I want to see you do good, just not better than me" space, and i was over it. And "coinsidently" everytime I had something good going, all of a sudden she was "going thru something" and had her own issues to deal with.

In the US, international students have to be enrolled full time or they get sent back home. You can have a job but it is very limited and most of the time you aren't allowed to work off campus. I get what Tammy is saying. You would think that as someone who is 34, he would have other resources to support himself while doing his masters. He's a grown man. Not that 25 isn't grown but at 25 and doing a masters, her financial situation is more understandable whereas his isn't, to me. He took advantage of that girl. And honestly if I were her, I would just take the L and cut my loses. He's in a whole different country, she'd be spending way too much money to get that money back. Learn from this and don't make the same mistakes.

For the last dilemma, she could save time by accepting her loss and letting that money go and take it as a lesson to NEVER give a man money.

I used to have a friend who used to open my snack bag(during secondary school days)anytime she was hungry and never told me. Another time,I thought I was able to make another friend, only to find out it was a bet on who can befriend me. Currently I have a lot of trust issues so it's hard to socialise so I'm always on my phone. It's like an asylum for me.

I concur with Tammy, CUT THOSE HATERS OFF! I do not need your hatred to affirm my success/progress in life. Those in competition with you are exhausting and frustrating as H. IMAGINE THIS... Person B has a costco card Person A(who doesnt have a costco card) bitches about person B not inviting them to costco Person C(me) gets a costco card and tells person A dont worry you can use mine, let them be selfish Person A sulkily/reluctanty takes person C up on their offer Several weeks later........ Tell me why Person A is making a big deal about asking person D for a ride to costco in front of person C in an attempt to stunt on them! because they found someone elses costco card to use!! These people make NO SENSE!!! The petty BS they come at you with is JARRING!!

US International students MUST be full-time (12 credits undergrad, 6 credits grad) to remain legal [keep their status as a student]. They can work part-time on campus without work authorization or off-campus with the approved authorization (CPT).

I think men and women do have deeper conversations because thats the way we feel we need to be with women to get on common ground. I think with the mandem, it can be either / or depending on your own mindset
