That dilemma 🤯 I think false allegations like that destroy people and they make it difficult for genuine cases to be believed. If she was trying to build a life with someone new, she should have told him rather than the surprise 5+ years into the relationship. The way it came out was horrendous. The man ain't the asshole because the care he showed by letting her cry on his shoulder and even call her parents to pick her up was kind. Everyone needs therapy after that one. You 3 make my day. in the dilemma, if sis was with this man for 5 years and she never mentioned the SA incident at any point, she probably is not sorry about it, just sorry she got caught. Awww, Sharon's "wilderness" story resonated with me. I'm that friend that feels I would be inconveniencing my friends in that situation. I'd also try to sort it out on my own. On the Dilemma story. I don't think Becky wanted the guy..from how I look at it, that SA story was so crazy that some people/ including Becky still feel offended that she got away with it when the ex's life was flipped upside down. Maybe the way she brought it up was wrong. Also Anna tried to stop Becky from speaking about it. she knew that's what Becky was going to say which means they have had this conversation and Anna did not want to tell her man. The fact that Anna had never told him about it was wrong. That story would have come out eventually. It's sad that this is how he found out.

Honestly that dilemma is deep but I think as much as we want mercy we should extend mercy to others. Everyone makes mistakes, bad bad mistakes if God still loves them so should we. The only thing I would say is if she really cared about this relationship she would have known and definitely should have brought it up to him especially being 5 yrs in she should have told him and 2nd!!!!! Her friend was out of place for saying that tho she could have been a better friend and encouraged her to tell him and not just blurt it out on a drunk night I would never do that to my best friend and I wouldn’t chance ruining her relationship I would encourage her to tell him her self !!! So what if the friend had to hold it in as long as she told her. Maybe the friend knew about the allegation obviously but she didn’t know that it was false. So there could be a possibility that she found out later while she’s with this man(before the engagement) and thought he knew or they wouldn’t be engaged. At times some people have the guilt for the other person of holding that in. Genuinely how do you hide that and live ur life but ruined someone else. What if that was the friends way of getting justice in a way, having guilt for the boy that was caused by her friend? Idk just thoughts, because how can you live with something like that ? Or she assumed he knew and tried to make a joke of it because that’s how I deal with trauma it has to be funny I have to make a jokey joke

I think you guys were too harsh towards the girl and so was her partner. (He’s been looking for a way out and his prayers were answered) we have all done something in our past that we are not proud of and that is her demon to live with. We don’t know if she has apologised to the accused and made her amends with it. To even think “am I next” is totallly silly because you have been with her for years and she hasn’t indicated on doing anything as such until this secret came out. She is better off without him. And I hope she has forgiven herself. Shame and guilt will make you do stupid things when you are young. I hope she forgives and forgets that “friend”. You do not need to reveal every past thing to your partner, it’s in the past for a reason. Unless it follows you today such as “I have been to jail” ask for what, “I have a pending debt” etc because these affect the present and future you.
