Not really. For my work bench it allows to swing the needed tools over so they are right there. I do leather tooling work where I have to change tools frequently and this just puts the closer, then when finished, they all get pivoted against the wall. Most of my work is done sitting down so this holder keeps me from having to reach out for a tool.
