Its the new dream; working somewhere where you are wanted. It feels like the true ending ends in gordon getting fired from his maintenance job, with the implication that he just goes back to MFN. He doesn't mention "keeping his head down" or anything of the like, and the cinematic takes you out the window and back to the studio. In this ending, you do have to help the puppets, but with all the air of a live action host of a puppet show like sesame street or the muppets. He's a perfect fit, as for every bit of a curmudgeon he is, gordon's got a heart.

These days, cunning is valued, efficiency is valued, obedience, success, and the willingness to crush, or worse, willingly ignore those beneath you. We see it in the newspapers, 7 years after the Vietnam War, people begin to lose hope for a better world, saying outright that kindness and compassion are a waste of time, and strive only to survive and work within a culture where nobody who isn't somehow better than anyone is valued. So when MFN comes by and keeps preaching messages of selflessness and goodness for goodness' sake, people criticize it for being "unrealistic" because there's a widespread belief that the world/people are, by default, cruel. I mean look at the world: Political parties constantly fighting, narcisisstic leaders who think that they know best for millions, war, poverty, hunger the world around, with 24 hour news constantly in our face its easy to start thinking that way. Ricky and this game challenge that, the only way to get the true ending (And the only way to get them to stop attacking you now that I think about it) is to talk to every puppet, to help them through their struggles when it's far easier to just be miserable, give up, and pull the trigger to drag everyone else down with you. If we just succumb to the idea that life sucks and we have to do bad things to survive, we lose all hope and all chance of things ever getting better. No matter the circumstances, we all still have the choice of who we want to be when the chips are down, and we can all choose to be good because being good is worth it. That's Ricky's message, at least what I take it as. To quote genital jousting: "The world is hard. But that doesn't mean we have to be."

Just have to choose of the three categories worries explosive firearm, and surrender , you have to pick a category and then you have to pick a random word and that’s what the thing will do
