My Friends Cook/Lemon Rice/Nimmakaya Pulihora

One of my friends, Vijaya, cooked her traditional Indian lemon rice, nimmakaya pulihora, passed down through her grandmother and mother. It was deliciously/heavenly/incredibly meal!!!
Although she was not a chef, Vijaya learned to cook at a young age. The lemon rice was straightforward to make. I was shocked at how quickly she prepared. If you like nutty texture and Indian herbs, try to make this meal. Guarantee you would enjoy it!

Please share more recipe. I think this is lime rice not lemon. Translations are often incorrect. I see green limes in pictured ingredients not yellow 🍋 lemons. They are both in same citrus 🍋 family. The dal are found in Asian markets here. they are a split lentils variety if that helps westerners at all.

Hahaha! Yes, you're right. Vijaya told me it would be lemon rice, and I didn't even think about it. Luckily, both has the same sour taste. Now, I wonder what would happen if I use lemon instead of lime? Thank you for sharing your thought. I will get more of my friends to share their secret recipes!
