Well when she said that she was scared she was gonna like the new look prior to the makeover, I knew that this was a sign that her goth look is probably forced or something she’s wanting to slowly grow out of. People go through phases sometimes and she might be ready to go to the next phase. It’s probably hard to when you’ve been known for a certain look for a while. Or the new look may remind her too much of the “normies” who bullied her in school and this goth look is a defense mechanism

And truth be told, her friends don't look much different than she does in the transformation. They aren't nearly as gothic-looking as she was. Strange reaction from them being that they would be more accepted in their look than she was in her old look. The only thing that gives them more of an edgy look is their hair colors. Their dress code is little unique, but nothing to scoff at. Her dresscode was VERY edgy. The nerve of them.

I think they gave her a really nice dress and shoes and I'm actually super impressed by the wig. Usually on this show, they give them cheap outfits and a horrendous wig. If she had looked like and they hadn't met her already - then they wouldn't be friends. They would've assumed she listened to Katy Perry, etc, other differences - nothing wrong with that, but it's just not goth stuff (differences beyond the makeup). They would've assumed they had nothing in common. I think their friendship is beyond that now and if she decided to go Barbie, they'd support her. When we first started dating in high school, my ex husband was a metal head, but not a Harley biker type. I hated motorcycles. If I hadn't known him and met him after he became a biker, we never would've dated and wed. But because I already knew him and loved him, I supported his decision to buy a bike, even though I wasn't so fond of them. I saw how much it meant to him. He totally got into biker stuff. We're still very good friends after the divorce and he's a nice guy. There were numerous reasons for the divorce - but just owning a bike etc wasn't one of them.

I think this video highlighted a lot and one of the main points is how in modern day society everybody wants an aesthetic. Everybody puts themselves in a box so much so that you can’t just embrace both and be intricate with your style and personality, kinda adds on to the unfortunate statement that her friends made in reference to her looking like a “Barbie” sad to think if she did want to embrace that goth side of her as much anymore they would probably feel uncomfortable about it because she shines and you can clear see she’s capable of any “ aesthetic”

The girl is extremely beautiful and with the transformation you can actually see that, so the stylist did a great job. The goth girl has her own cool style, but with her heavy make up you cannot even see her face features. I feel like most people featured in this show have so many insecurities that they hide beside certain style to feel more accepted at least by some people. Style should be a way to express yourself and give you a confidence boost. Even if you're wearing a mask to face society, you should still be able to get some part of your true self through it.😊

People are allowed to express themselves any way they want, BUT that being said, this woman looks SO much better with the Barbie look. She knows it, and her friends know it. They just don't want to admit it
