I completely understand the NDIS dramas. My husband has severe cerebral palsy and I’m his primary caregiver (only informal support) and it’s so frustrating trying to get anything we actually need/want. We have mostly funding for support workers (only 4 hours per day) but having people in my home touching everything, moving everything and taking literally 10x as long as I do to do everything absolutely does my head in. I have autism/ADHD myself so structure and having a place for everything is my coping mechanism but that goes out the window when you have others involved in the home. People use up stuff and never let me know when things are empty until AFTER I’ve done the weekly shopping. That is so infuriating. We’ve been waiting a year to get additional funding as I desperately need weekly cleaning and yard maintenance at least once a month but there are just so many delays. I totally get the comments about being home all day too, I was less exhausted when working 40+ hours per week plus volunteering years ago than I am now. Now I’m actually expecting our first child and most days I’m unable to move from just absolute exhaustion, nausea and all the fun things that come with it.

Do I know anyone in Vermont who was affected by the floods? Well, actually I do but it was the floods from a few years ago. My penpal and her daughters had only just listed their home for sale when the ground floor suddenly had an indoor water feature. Thankfully her home was repaired and eventually sold.

Totally agree with you on nosey people who don’t know the full situation etc. It’s crazy what people do, was hit by a man while needing to get on the bus last week. Just exhausted at times. I eat a lot of McDonald’s as it’s easy and cheaper to other places. I have too many points too. I did cook a pizza yesterday which was yummy but spiked my blood sugar levels. It has fallen during the night. I struggle most days.
