Andy Griffiths is a great author. I used to read The Bum series to my son every morning, when he'd crawl into bed with us, for a wake up cuddle. Twenty years ago my kids went to a small rural school, south of Murray Bridge. Andy was touring schools and went to kiddos school. Parents were invited to watch and listen as Andy gave a talk and then had a Q&A with the whole school, in the gym. The school only had 1 to 2 classes in each year level, so it really was a small school

I'm not sure if anyone else has suggested this. I noticed you got some books from local 'buy nothing' group. Could you swap someone help with mentoring them to learn the frugal shop your pantry/fridge/freezer/weekly menu skills in exchange for crochet tops for your new tea towels to become hand towels for your oven door??

That's a great idea noone has suggested it before I have traded zumba classes for material and other items. I find with being frugal people don't want to be told what to do so it's why I just share my videos and say 'this is what I do' let me know what you do and if you have any ideas. I watch a lot of other You Tubers who say 'if your not doing this or that well your silly' and I think hmmm please stop saying that people are always learning new skills why not say 'here's an idea for you to try' not just belittle people.

so agree, about always learning something new. I used my local buy nothing to get some free seeds and plants - strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb, herbs. I am in a rental and have maintained these plants in pots (found on roadside). I'm not very frugal, but as a fulltime Uber driver (2 years) with income being irregular I have had to become more clever about budget. Living in Canberra is expensive.

Thanks for the mention! Maybe next time you'll get the million on the scratchie but then I'd miss your videos if you don't make any more!! Happy birthday to your son. The cake came out lovely! Great tip for the baking paper trays. I usually get my pencil out and trace a circle but your method is such a good idea! Another great video x

It’s so important to keep track of your spending when you have financial goals. And I love how you’re also willing to splurge on some small fun things. 😄
