I had the fuel Gauge go out on me on my old 2002 Buick Park Avenue Ultra and it turns out i had to replace the whole fuel pump as the lever from the fuel pump was the problem. Thankfully i knew how to change that my self and saved my self over $700.00 and the fuel pump i bought was 100% OEM. 😁

I have a 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross With about 1,000 miles on the vehicle. Since I have the car when the car is down to 3/4 of a tank and fill it up the needle on the fuel gauge does not move will stay at 3/4 of a tank but a few days later it will go up to full. If the car is at 1/2 half of a tank or less and I fill it up the gauge will go up to the full mark

I had a problem when I had the battery replaced. The gas gauge always read zero and the miles to empty gauge also read zero. After months of researching the problem I read you can reset the gauges, in my case a 2012 sonata, by holding in the reset button on the steering wheel. It worked but no mechanic had said a word about it. The bastards.

I changed the car's battery from an almost dead but usable battery with new a higher CCA rating and the gas gauge stated to work again. Idk if that did it but no problems since.

Hi,I have a Nissan xtrail hybrid suv t32 model 2015-2017. Some time when I stop my Nissan xtrail hybrid t32 suv. The fuel gauge stop before going to 0,and then it goes up slowly to 0..it does that a few times and also some time the fuel gauge facing to 240.and then I open fuel cap a lot of air comes out. And then I close it. And then it shows you that you must put fuel. Some time you have put fuel, it shows you fuel warnings to put fuel. And then when you put fuel it does not shows that again. Or some time you have put fuel, and then when you have not use the jeep for a holiday. And you star the jeep it shows you 1/2 or before full.and then you st5 the jeep it comes to 0,that is normal position..it does that sometimes, I think the fuel gauge ,with its fuel sender or electricit cornector or fuel vent, fuel cap needs to clean or maybe fuel gauge needs to reset. Any one can help me please 🙏 thank you

Most common reason why gas gauge reads empty. Owner just forgot to fill gas or owner has no money to fill gas.

I have an issue which is a little complicated if anyone can suggest something that would be great. So my fuel gauge works but when there is one bar left it suddenly drops and the car would stop after a while and then when I refuel it it only costs me the amount which I would pay with one bar left and not the cost of a full tank. Hello Mr. Dave Erickson, I have had problems with the fuel gauge on my 2005 Saab 9-3 sedan since the summer of 2019. The problem is that the gas gauge goes dead that caused the gauge to read completely empty with the fuel warning light on at the same time whenever the gas tank is full. This first happened when I completely refilled up the gas tank and it began to die that caused the gauge to read empty within a minute after I started the engine. It sometimes works and then reads completely empty whenever I drive. Additionally, it sometimes works when I start the engine and goes dead before I drive off. Sometimes it reads empty once I start the engine. The problem with this is that I don’t know how far or how long I can drive whenever the gas gauge reads completely empty with gas in the tank until it reads normal. Do you know what is the problem and fix for this? Let me know if you know anything about Saab cars. Thank you😊

Same here except it is registering a full tank as 1/3. I think maybe I have the float that reads the fuel level stuck on part of the fuel pump so it cant go all the way up. You might wanna check if your electrical connection to the fuel pump just in case.

I put gas in my Dodge Dakota drove like 5 minutes the gauge went to E I put a new fuel pump in it still doesn't work because the sender is on the fuel pump and the relays are clicking off and on when I do turn the key on

I took it to kia and they can't find the problem. I don't know what to do... I run out of gas with a quarter of a tank on the bar and fuel range says around 100. I haven't seen my gas light on in over a year I literally have to fill up my tank when I get past half.
