If Dolidze was serious about his UFc career, he would not had accepted that fight but I think he understands that he is about to become rly old and he lacks a lot of skill compared to other top fighters. He trying to get as many fights as possible tho.

Dieting and weight cutting are two different things. Jiri diets in his camp, says he has around 7kgs to lose, which he mostly does so doesn't need to do much with draining fluid from his body. The heavier you are... to lose all of that muscle via dieting is too much, so they diet in camp (though Alex has noted you gain weight because you are putting on muscle from the training) and plan on a massive weight cut, relying on losing water in their body rather than dieting down to the weight. Strange that this is confusing to people at this point.
