Yes. I'd guess that Dempsey was paid quite well for this(expert at sparring so opponent doesn't get hurt), and also gets the pleasure of having the video of him sparring with Pereira and maybe a photo-op or two.

It wasn't fair at all, though. Round 2 Alex started hitting much harder and they didn't agree to escalate. So that put the boxer in very shitty situation: to respond in kind and hit as hard but risk injuring Alex or to be a pussy and just let them make a fool of you for money.

@m5p944 go touch grass bozo. Poatan trains mma not boxing. Boxers only have to worry about punches. Alex is a counter puncher bro lol. Poatans mind is trained for all different attacks, kicks knees, take downs, elbows, spinning attacks. Full body attacking and wrestling this boxer wouldn't make it out of the first round with Poatan. That should happen still but at another's level kinda different I've seen just a couple promoters ex Floyd las Vegas TBE he is actually and many many great more let's see how Manny Pacquiao take care of sparring patners coming from abroad for passion and after money is huge thing in living life it's good 💯 I should start something it's so much fun from far but it is more beautiful than in any imagination... How did a human being like a girl and the country she's in there's so chaos bribe no kindness towards talents grit it is what is a lot of corrupt inside such a beautiful sport... So does anyone kneow something without going to AI how did a different country start his journey.... @@The_Eagle_Official True he was dropped by a twig but if he fixed up his defence he would become harder to defeat in striking. After watching this sparing I have to say that if Alex's sparing partner had started using his power instead of holding back to protect Alex for his fight, he would have taken him out. That dude hit Alex's chin on the regular while defending his own well. Alex should be embarrassed.
@DivineAtheistWannabe
@DivineAtheistWannabe 5 ай бұрын
@@montyrayza7220 Alex is always prone to getting punched in the face, especially by boxers, due to his style and hand placements. However in a kickboxing scenario it changes the game a bit. And his gameplan is kind of to bait more shots to the front (like jabs that are the easiest to land) anyway so he can land a quick left hook from the side. All he needs is to touch you with minimal wind up and you're going to sleep. So you may think you're scoring some easy jabs on him, but you're going to go night night if you're not careful. In an mma scenario, I'm going to guess that Alex is looking to destroy Jiri's calf again like he did the first time, since Jiri is so heavy on the lead leg and did indeed get destroyed by the first round. Hence why he may be sparring a southpaw here, because he's probably banking on Jiri having to switch to his off-stance pretty early? Just guessing.
