I think in this whole situation, everyone involved was wrong to a degree. Some things they did were valid while others were not and, in the end, Atsu was the one who lost the most out of all of this. It's really sad how this whole thing broke friendships, burnt bridges, and completely turned the community upside down. It can be boiled down to some high school drama type stuff, but because it put so many careers at risk, it became a high school drama with repercussions instead. Atsu shouldn't have tried to take everyone down with him. There's nothing wrong with pointing out things he believes are incorrect, but he also needs to take accountability for the things that he did as well. Or at the very least, don't be upset when people fire right back at him. I think what he has gone through is terrible and I wish him the best for healing, and I think getting off the internet is the best thing he can do in that regard. Brax feeling isolated and not getting the chance for exclusive deals and speaking up about it is not a bad thing and he has the right to stand up for himself. I don't like how he denies his part in Atsu's viewer count going down. The "covid buff" went away like 2 years ago and anyone can see that the situation was the main catalyst for it. I'm happy that he's very successful now but I do hope he doesn't weaponize this whole drama because I think that's the last thing the community needs. I'm going to be honest here and say I don't like Tectone's content. I think it's very predatory and it only creates more toxicity. However, I do acknowledge that he has suffered quite a lot in the past few years and his ability to call BS is second to none. Being an asshole doesn't mean that you aren't human or don't have feelings and I think one of the big takeaways I have from this drama is that having some empathy does help. I hope he has found peace and I also hope that he doesn't milk this drama any further, since I think Atsu has already been through enough, but that's not up to me. As for the whole Pinkchyu thing with Atsu, I don't fully understand what that is about. But her response on Twitter (which I think got deleted? I wasn't able to find it again), was a bit concerning from an emotional standpoint. It's very clear that she also has had gone through some hard times, so I also hope she was able to recover and be able to move forward. I think the comments replying to hers were very uncalled for and very gross, dehumanizing her and just being horrible in general. Denying someone's trauma is never a good look either. As for other content creators like Dish and Tuonto, I don't know how I fully feel about their responses, but it just goes to show that relationships between most content creators are superficial to a degree. They might become more genuine overtime, but all of them know that PR is important. I don't blame them since this is their career and they have the right to defend it. Throwing other under the bus to defend it is something I don't feel ok with but again, since their career would be at risk, at the very least it's understandable but more morally questionable. I feel bad that Zyox and any other uninvolved individual was thrown into this whole situation. It just goes to show that being an online personality always comes with its risks and that you need to be ready and prepared whenever stuff like this comes at you.

Very well said. To add a bit more on the Dish and Tuonto stuff I think Atsu was a bit too harsh, I get your friends not having your back on certain aspects can be frustrating especially so with the predicament Atsu is in, but this is their livelihood, can't say I necessarily blame them for attempting to stay out of it, though people did spin Dish's tweet a while back pretty badly iirc. Also, while I sympathize with Brax's feelings, I can't say I agree with his overall document, I think he could have apologized better for the blacklist stuff at minimum, because that was a big narrative against Atsu when his first doc came out.

I dunno, man. I like some of your level headed points, Why should Atsu be the one to apologize when everyone was manipulative? Brax objectively confessed to lying, but didn't want to publicly apologize. Atsu's friends never spoke up for him, I'd at least hope my friends would support me until they knew the whole story. His wife cheated on him. He became suicidal. His friends were just as manipulative, Brax was a coward. I doubt he could make an apology like that, due to the circumstances. He did reflect on the situation, and came to the conclusion that he was wronged. Which, technically from an outside perspective, was true to a degree. It did seem like the main grievance for him was that his friends (one of which he considers a brother) didn't come strongly enough to his defense during the height of the drama, and instead hid or decided to stay neutral/fence sit. Had they strongly refuted a lot of the claims made of Brax and others, maybe public perception would be different. It was the 20v1 of the year before Drake and Kendrick.

I feel you especially on the friends having some backbone. They watched their friend get burnt to a crisp and kept quiet. Just watching the cowardice was crazy to me. I'll be damned if my people did me like that. But I will say that from a different perspective, if he was truly innocent in a sense of not actually lying and manipulating to the degree he was accused of. Its a bit hard to come out and admit fault to something you know you didn't do. Because we have to admit the truly egregious accusations he had were never proven to be true. Him blacklisting people stayed at rumor level. Him having power at hoyoverse stayed at rumor level. His wrongdoing was refusing to network with people for, lets admit, dumb ass reasons. But I will dial it back to say I'm a strong believer that people that are in bad situations must strive to see how they were at fault for letting the situation happen. Because if you don't you are doomed to let it happen again. So I'll have to say majority of your message I agree with.

Interesting viewpoints in the video, I do love seeing people's opinions when those are well articulated such as here. I would also want to ask, though, with regards to the apology... What did Atsu *actually* do wrong, in a way that matters? Now that we know that people's livelihoods weren't affected, nor were they at stake, his misdemeanours seem to be... Being rude? At worst, excluding someone from social events? Sure, you can say that's not a nice thing to do, I'd agree, but at the end of the day... Who cares? This is no matter that deserves to blow up to the degree it did. I didn't even know Atsu existed before this whole thing, personally, but I can't help but feel like there was next to nothing he did here that deserved this level of vitriol, hate, and proportion. (IMO, ideally, he should not have responded at all. Who the hell cares if someone you - general you - met years back felt like they got disliked for no reason. Why even entertain this. This is adult life, not highschool.)

as a person who has tried to keep up with everything, atsu bad mouthed (to whatever degree) brax due to brax being paranoid or weird and that likely led to his friend group avoiding brax or not really caring about him. brax became paranoid and assumed that because atsu didnt like him that he was being blacklisted from events which is........not entirely true but is in a way. atsu did help brax land a contract with hoyoverse, but due to brax talking to hoyoverse employees about the drama atsu eventually said that he didnt want to be at events with him (he felt like talking to employees about this was a huge overreach over nothing). now from what I could gather these arent hoyo sponsored events but more personal creator events like tuonto hosted an event so brax wasnt invited (tuonto also at the time didnt like brax due to him accidentally doxxing his then girlfriend). now I dont really understand all the different events that brax was talking about (or even atsu) but from what I could gather the specific "exclusion" was from personal events

This is kinda how I feel, at least with Brax and Atsu, I recall seeing Brax's document a while back so learning that he wasn't blacklisted made me feel odd when that was Brax's main point. Don't personally know about anything other creators and Atsu, and I might do digging into it later, since there is some stuff with Tectone and him apparently but in terms of Brax and Atsu stuff, I've yet to see anything he did that is worthwhile actually mentioning/scrutinizing.

TLDR ,atsu loves to subtweet(accusing people with no evidence),then brax responded with his bad experience with atsu(note that someones experience is not strong evidence).Now Atsu demands evidence for brax claims.NOW HE KNOWS THE FEELING WHEN SOMEONE GOT ACCUSED WITH NO EVIDENCE,MAYBE DONT SUBTWEET PEOPLE IN THE FIRST PLACE LOL. In present,he still does not acknowledge his own fault and blaming other people.

@@FremKnightLazI think you've displayed a lack of maturity here. As is commonly said, people with lots of influence must be very aware of how they use that influence. They cannot afford to use it carelessly and they also cannot afford to pretend that they do not have it. This is the reason why it is irresponsible for influencers to date their fans. And unfortunately this is the lesson that Atsu is learning the hard way with regards to the Brax situation. So here are the things Astu did wrong with regards to Brax 1. He called Brax a creep in his clique of big hoyo creators. Atsu said that he did not blacklist Brax but that simply does not cut it when he's doing. With his level of influence and control that might as well be blacklisting. 2. He actively discouraged people from interacting with Brax I believe when asked about Brax he said something like "I don't like Brax because he's untrustworthy and a creep and he spreads rumours and is using me to move his career forward but if you want to contact him, you can." That last sentence does not absolve him here. What he's doing is blatant and obvious. 3. He positioned himself as the gatekeeper of his friend group. Atsu claimed that there is no need for people to expect to be invited to parties or hang out with his friends. Additionally he claimed that he dislikes it when people use others to grow their platform. So he positioned himself in a place where he could gatekeep who interacted with who. But this was just a dumb move on his part.

This has all the marks of someone wielding suicide for pity points and as a shield from criticism. It was immediately mentioned in his tweet and then again in the opening of the Google doc. This was almost certainly a very intentional and calculated appeal to emotion to draw people to his side before launching into a scorched earth 34 page screed. It's all consistent with his past emotionally manipulative and sociopathic behavior. He even had some of his own chat mods calling it out as such.
@xoxolrvtnz5 ай бұрын
Idk usually people with sociopathic and or narcissistic tendencies don’t tend to attempt to take their life and I don’t think it’s fair to speculate about manipulation here considering the seriousness of his mental situation

@@xoxolrvtnz "usually people with sociopathic and or narcissistic tendencies don’t tend to attempt to take their life" Think about this for a second. You're almost there. A true statement in a vacuum but also completely useless and irrelevant in specific cases such as this when context and specific facts are known. We know for a FACT he has a history of slander and manipulation. All of which is consistent with the very 34 page document in question. Also even if we were give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's not lying or greatly exaggerating about suicide he's still wielding it in the most disgusting way possible before launching into a scorched earth screed. Invoking suicide is not a free pass to throw haymakers unchallenged but that's exactly what he's trying to do. "I don’t think it’s fair to speculate about manipulation" We don't have to speculate. He has a history of it and it's in our face right now. It's clearly working on some people, too.

I have a moment in the first 10 minutes of the movie where I feel "aahh this really is Gundam Seed".. Where the movie managed to bring me back 13 years to the past and replicate the feeling of watching SEED when I was on high school, it make me feel sooo weird when the movie ends. I think some context that people might be missing is that atsu helped brax land a very good contract with hoyoverse and did keep things pretty respectful between them in their personal interaction. now he was also telling his friends about brax and to what degree he bad mouthed him we will never know. sure atsu messed up in that regard but the situation isnt black and white. brax made mistakes jumping to conclusions in some areas, atsu made mistakes and not understanding his influence amongst his friend group, tuonto wasnt honest about having issues with brax and pinned it all on atsu, tectone calling atsu a master manipulator over things that he didnt do (back to my comment about atsu helping brax get a contract with hoyo). even if tectone backtracked or corrected those claims the damage was already done. just weird stuff all around my read of the situation is atsu didnt like how brax was approaching him, maybe said things he shouldnt have said to his friends which led to brax feeling alienated from people he barely knew, which made him paranoid about things that partly involved atsu and partly didnt (like saying he felt like his career was hurt by atsu despite atsu helping him get a contract), but he blamed atsu for all of it. like everyone hates atsu now but honestly I think most people would react the same way when most of the allegations against them are just conspiracies. if this whole thing is going to get sorted out people need to start over form the beginning about what happened and what went wrong and remove all of the conspiracy and looking for a villain but I feel like we're way past that point.
@laineysays5 ай бұрын
I don't think Atsu wanted to take everyone down with him intentionally but rather it became the consequence brought by the manner of how he decided to try to redeem himself. Which was putting everything out to public and was really messed up, regardless if his claims are valid or not. I just hope every cc who tries to make content out this has spent enough time really looking at the story from all sides, coz otherwise they may just be contributing to further misinformation and spreading of allegations.

I think that is what is most disappointing & tragic about this whole situation. Someone's ego just can't find it within themselves to take accountability for their actions & instead trying to blame everyone else for their misfortunes. That right there is the perfect case of Narcissism, he thinks he's better than everyone & in his mind he hasn't done anything wrong. Atsu really needs to get some legitimate help. I agree his 'friends' are showing their true colors by not doing anything to help this guy, it speaks volumes about them really.

I agree with a lot you say, but talking about suicide as "the ultimate chess move" and a "Galactic attack" is kinda irresponsible. You should probably read a bit about the mere exposure effect. At the very least you could have given the number for the prevention hotline or something. I don't know, I got a weird feeling when you talked about the subject, like you feel people commit suicide as a form of attack on others. And I'm sure some do, but I still feel this was a very blunt discussion of a very very sensitive topic. Which given the size of you audience is somewhat irresponsible. Again, agree with most of the take. But topics like this deserve some care in how they're spoken about.
