Thanks alanna382, In my opinion it is not easy to explain with few words a musical technique.Unfortunately, in this case I can only say to you little,but in most simple way. 1) About how to memorize chords and how to improvise.The music is like a language. When you learn a new language ( for not to create confusion during a conversation) you memorize words, phrases ect. In music,you memorize chords,scales,timing, ect.
