So much to do and so little time to do it all! My storage is full of my late father-in-law's gardening stuff and I need to sort through it. Meanwhile my pots are piling up in the greenhouse. Those that have been used are put outside for the rain to clean but before I can put them away the winds blow the lot all over the place! I will never know how one big pot ended up in the chickens when the wind was blowing in the opposite direction! Your stuff is tidy - and enviable! LOL!

I forgot to net the blackcurrants after the fruits set. The blackbirds have enjoyed them! Oh well apparently they are a species in decline. Probably unable to fly due to stomachs full of Ben Sarek fruits. Another crop to put under cover next season. Always a rewarding watch, with informative content, cheers.

Many thanks for the video. Great to hear your plans. I hope the sheep fleece works for you. I use fleece as a mulch for the raspberries and as a 'brown' ingredient in the compost heap. It was a mistake to use as a strawberry mulch - furry strawberries! Looking forward to hear how you use it and to getting some inspiration for new uses.

Hi Terry. Learned a lot from this video. I.e. don't be afraid of taking things out if they're not working. I'm thinking of building a fruit cage around my rasps, in the limited space I have. You said you hadn't let the wood touch the ground. So how have you made it stable?? I have some 3x2 inch wood from a dismantled kitchen and thought I could use some of that, after putting some wood preserver on. Would be interested in your thoughts....or do you have an ancient video showing how you built your fruit cages?? Thx xxxxx
@terrykingsallotmentgardening
@terrykingsallotmentgardening Ай бұрын
@helenkeough4187 I built my fruit cage before starting KZbin, but one of my videos on my fruit cage is on Google. I used metal stakes driven into the ground 3x3 which takes the posts and the rest were sat on slabs with a sacrificial stake at an angle which can be replaced easily. Use what you can find Helen, doesn't mattwhat it looks like as long as it does the job. Pond netting is the best, keeps the birds out and the bees in and out.
