I think new pickers don't take into account the time and effort it takes to start up. I am retired and enjoy selling. I have been doing this for a year. I claimed a loss the first year on taxes. This does not concern me because I was constantly reinvesting my sales into new inventory. I have started my second year and now have a store of close to 2000 items and am looking at 1200.00 a month in profit. I put alot of time into my store but I enjoy being my own boss and this satisfies my need for deals. New pickers sometimes think they will make money and its easy. It takes commitment.

Hello there! Been watching you for a while now. My wife and I started selling on eBay on 12/27 and just love it. Started with stuff around the house and now doing the reselling. Learned a ton from you!! She made me proud too, she bought a Tupperware pickle holder for $1. And she is now using the little black light as she has gotten into glass. IKEA bags are amazing! That glass set in the carrier is really easy to wrap. Stuff each glass with wadded newspaper. Just put one layer of bubble wrap around each glass and then put the glasses back in the holder. They will fit tightly. Then wrap the entire holder in layers of bubble wrap and tape it on the outside in a way to further keep the glasses in the holder. This makes the whole thing secure and all you have to do then is find the right size box. I have shipped these and similar ones many times this way with no damage and praise from the buyer. The glasses are actually safer packed this way than if you took them out of the holder.
