My garden in March | New hellebore plants, pruning & taking cuttings hydrangeas, filling containers

It is the beginning of March and after a long wet winter we have finally had some dry weather. I will show you the new hellebore plants that I bought from the nursery, I will be pruning and taking cuttings from hydrangeas, I show you my vegetable garden and I will change the display in the terracotta pots.

​@@theladygardenerhello! How do you save you booxwood from bugs? I mean small grey butterflies and their caterpillars, which need only one day to eat all your booxwoods in the garden.

I spray them 3x a year with an organic spray that helps quite well, allthough I am sometimes too late and they already have eaten a part of my boxwood

Subscribed! I like the slow pace and detailed audio (ASMR) where you take a break from narrating and just let the garden atmosphere be. The digging sounds were great! We have a similar setup for our garden in Washington state.

Such a gorgeous garden and the birdsong is so very peaceful. Can you show us the expanse of the full gardens-they appear to be quite large and beautiful, judging by the tall hedging. Also, many thanks for the tip on propagating hydrangeas. I had no idea it was so simple and will definitely give it a try! 👏

We have a wire fence and I started with planting a few larger ivy plants of 1.20m and a few smaller plants of 50cm in between and have woven them through the wire. After a year it already covered a lot of the fence. It is a lot af maintenance, I now have to cut it a few times a year.

Can you grow maiden hair ferns where you are. We grow the hardy ones in our yard here in Ohio. They look fabulous in cut flower displayed and they are native to the US. And no thorns!

It depends on the plants. The hydrangeas are hardy so I kept them outside.

Cutting and cleaning is part of 'real' gardening. The slog work needs to be done. I am so sick and tired of all these make believe cinematic perfect idyllically portrayed lives and gardening. It is a fantasy which do not exist. Keep on showing what real life and real gardening looks like.
