My Gear For The Trans Catalina Trail!

My gear load out for my upcoming thru-hike if the Trans Catalina Trail! I’m super excited to be able to go on this adventure!
I’ll be hitting the trail with

And ‪@HuckOutdoors‬ will be joining for the last day or so!
If my gear list isn’t below I will get to it asap as I’m currently working a string of 10 hr days 😂

The Umbrella is a must for the TCT It really helps on those ridgelines. You're going to enjoy the TCT. Looking like great weather too!

Awesome gear load out! Someone is ready! I second Huck with the umbrella, super clutch out there. I need to look into the snap foldz bowls too, the look awesome! Can’t wait to meet up again and crush the trail!

I love the tiny "trash basket" for wrappers, etc., hooked to your hip belt. I end up with so many wrappers in my hip belt pocket by the end of the day, and I'd much prefer them to be in a separate area. I'm going to look into that! Thanks! Those double pocket ditty bags from Hilltop Packs are also on my list. I'm excited to see your videos from this trip! Have fun!

Thanks! I really am enjoying that little pouch. The dual pocket bags I have been abusing for several years and they are still in fantastic shape! I am so excited to be going!

I have considered a second pillow to put between my knees but didn't want the extra weight. I think you just solved my dilemma!

It good enough for that, and cheap. It works for me. Use a different/longer straw. It does make a difference!

I have been looking at the vesper quilt and would be interested to hear more on how it performed on your trip. I have been trying to get my base weight down and the vesper quilt at a pound is tempting but if it doesn’t keep you warm, then it’s an easy pass. I hope you have a great trip!

I have a live gate relationship for that quilt. For me it’s goon into mid 40’s if my sleep clothes are decent. I can always use my pack towel for an extra blanket if needed. I’ll let you know! I kinda feel like a 950 fill quilt from Enlightened equipment is a better product and probably a better product.

I didn’t plan the trip, but my understanding is booking the campsites and getting permits should happen months in advance. I might do a video on the logistics if I feel like I have a grasp on it lol… This wasn’t my trip to plan 😂
