Most excellent vid...its refreshing to see someone not be overly obsessed with ultra fancy kit. Me and the wife backpack..done the pembrokeshire coastal path, wildcamped all the way in our 3f ul Qingkong....a copy of tge msr mutha hubba nx 3.... Its third of the price....but brilliant for the money. Was goin to replace it...but now have watch yr vid....im going to keep it... Also...those old poles from decathlon...had exactly same pair...and gave them away this year ...love how the wind would whislte thru the holes... Good vid mate....really enjoyed it. Good luck out there...were just going thru early stages of planning LEJOG....in uk..

Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼 the 3Fulgear tents are excellent for the price tag, some tents just seem so over priced for what they are. The decathlon poles are great, the whistling annoyed me 😂 so I put black tape over the holes. The Pembrokeshire coast path looks amazing, the Wales coast path is on my ‘to hike list’. I completed the JOGLE in 2022, it is an awesome hike. What I love about it was because it’s a point to point hike you can plan any route you like. I’ve taken this set up on a lot of hikes now and is doing a great job, not too heavy and powers me for about a week before I need to charge the power bank up. Thanks for stopping by and watching 👍🏼😊

Hi Amir, I try to keep my gear simple and light. The floating cloud tent I used had taped seems from the factory, so no need to seal 😊

Good trail tested gear👍 I used mountain equipment sleepbags for years..till i found phd....u dont need spend a fortune...funny chinese tent buddy😂.. All the best 👍

I try to find a balance between good gear and not too expensive. Sone gear on the market just seems so overpriced. I love the tent I’m using, looks very similar to a MSR but it’s a quarter the price. All the gear I’m using has been tested a lot and is all doing a great job 👍🏼😊

It was great proction from the sun, and meant I didn’t have to keep putting sun cream on.

Hi Ryan, is it easy to get your food supplies our do you need bounce boxes?

The Hexatrek does a great job of going through towns & villages with shops fairly often. The longest food carry I did was for 7 days, once in the Alps and once in the Pyrenees. Also you can get food in the mountain refuges in the Alps and Pyrenees but it’s quite expensive so I didn’t do it much. But good options if you need food. Most of the trail I carried food for about 3-4 days, so overall not bad at all.
