I'm obsessed with high denomination banknotes - especially from European countries - and I only collect genuine and UNC-grade banknotes with unique/unorthodox/modern-looking/cool/genius/innovative and colorful designs. Yeah, me too :) It's so genius, creative, unorthodox and very impressive. The Swiss Franc vertical banknotes were designed by Jörg Zintzmeyer (1947-2009) in the mid-1990s; and the Israeli New Shekel vertical banknotes were designed by Naomi Rosner and Meir Eshel in the late 1990s.

You have a very beautiful and systematic collection! Do you also collect older banknotes? I find the historical progression of designs within a country interesting and inflations make also interesting collecting. You should add some Italian Lire. I find their designs before the very last series very beautiful!

Great collection! What holders do you use? Actually the question would be, can you buz them from the internet, or just from Jakarta? By the way I appreciate there is someone who got all the notes from Romania. All collectors have only the 1,5 and 10 lei notes. Only a singer person had so far the 100 lei note... althought the Romanian banknotes are not the most expensive ever. 500 lei in reality is like a bit over 100 euro. I haven't seen Hungarian notes in your collection, they are very nice! Also, from China are you intending to get the new yuan notes with Mao Zedong or the Hong Kong Dollar, Macau Patacas or Taiwan Yuan :D? Last question, what site do you mainly use to purchase notes?

Thanks a lot, Volt! :) I got the Taiwan-made album/holder from a banknote collector/seller in Jakarta, Indonesia. I also got the Romanian banknote set from him last year. They were quite expensive and very rare, of course. I also have some European "agents" who provide me the rare high denomination banknotes from Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Netherlands, Bulgaria & Croatia. All of them are in UNC grade, although sometimes there are some "flicks" (very minor creases, approx. 10 mm) on them. FYI, the banknote sets from Sweden, Norway (designed by Sverre Morken & Arild Yttri) and Netherlands (designed by RDE Ootje Oxenaar) were my obsession for years before, and now I'm so glad that I already have them :) They were costly, indeed - and you know what, I got scammed by some "agents" once. Now, my "targets" are 100 Canadian Dollars (paper/2001-2011), 5-10-20 British Pounds (1990-1994) and 1000 Swiss Francs (current issue) :D That's all :) I feel challenged to get those rare western/European banknotes, especially in UNC grade. They are much harder to find than some Asian/African/South American banknotes which dominates the numismatic/notaphily markets.

For me, it is hard to get notes, mainly because I get them from eBay, Delcampe or from some Central Banks. I love those Norwegian banknotes from when I've been there, but then I wasn't so good with paper money collecting... and just came back with a 100 kr note. However, now in every country I go, I get the whole banknote set in UNC from the bank. Living in Europe, for me the European banknotes are quite common. My obsesion now are Asian banknotes, I really think they are from so many culteres with different languages, writing systems and religions. Personally, I dislike the African notes... don't have many.

Oh, you're an European? Which country do you come from? I like the European/Western banknote designs (except the dull and boring US Dollar banknotes or the "rigid" Euro banknote designs), especially for the "unorthodox" graphic designs (like Dutch Guilders) and their advanced/sophisticated security features (like Swiss Francs). In Indonesia, it's very hard to find banknotes from Scandinavian countries like Sweden, Norway or Finland, even though from fellow notaphilists. Therefore, I'm very proud of my European banknote collection :) Anyway, you have connections to some central banks? Well, that's great! :)

The 1000 norwegian kroner one is worth just about 150 dollars. Also the norwegian government are changing all the notes and have already changed the 100 and 200.

I love Notaphily and collecting banknotes but there is one thing that drives me INSANE! Central banks that take too long to reveal a note! To some people, this may not seem a problem but it drives me crazy! In 2012 I heard Switzerland was going to create a new note series but it took like 3 years to finally ANNOUNCE when they would reveal the new 50 CHF note this April. Now, again I have to wait untill spring 2017 to see the new 20 CHF note! I know that producing and designing banknotes is hard but it has literally taken the SNB 10 years to create these notes! Please reply if this drives you crazy too!

Not really 😁 My favorite is the 4th series Deutsche Mark (1991-1996), or "Bundesbank Serie III" issued by Deutsche Bundesbank. They're so beautiful 👍🏻😊 I'll upload the 2nd update video -- likely before year's end -- and hopefully you will see my DM complete set 😏

Koleksi serius khusus UNC baru mulai 3 tahunan lalu. Selain hunting di Pasar Baru, juga ada "agents" asal Eropa & Australia yang jadi provider saya 😃 Dulu waktu SD-SMP, koleksi uang kertas asing pecahan kecil, lecek juga ga masalah, meski akhirnya juga dijual untuk keperluan yang lebih mendesak 😅 So, sekarang bisa dibilang balas dendam 😅😆
