Wow... the p38, the helmets, I think you're doing great on your collection. Congrats brother. On the ger M40 you could always get your own paint or just the water transfer decals on ebay pretty reasonable price. I plan to do my M42. I have a 1941 BYF Mauser Luger, yours is also a Mauser with the 42 code made in 1939. Good find Brother.

great bunch of stuff! the ww2 german helmet is an m40 because the vent holes are stamped in instead of being a separate bushing. the Q stands for the manufacturer Quist and the 64 is indeed the sized in centimeters. it would equate to about 7-7-1/8 us size. it probably was stripped by someone going to use it for reenacting. while youre waiting for a better german helmet you could refinish that one. thanks for the shout out! glad you enjoy them. to create extra wall space some pitctures, posters or flags can be tacked to the ceiling if theyre sturdy enough. ive done this before.

well its growing slow but sure. the 1939 luger marked 42 on the chamber the 42 means its a Mauser manufactured pistol not walther. personally the spreewerk cyq p-38s i like the best of all of them because they have sharper edges and just look better to me because of late war preoduction. i like the one you have!! the ww2 german helmet you have is a m-40 because the side vent is part of the shell. a m-35 helmet the vent hole is a separate piece that is pressed in. the Q means its a quist manufacture and size 64 shell. bcd mauser is the gustloff company

Hi mr. jonathan a little more info on the luger mags. in 1941 and 1942 Mauser production, only 20% where black widows, 1942 was the last year of production for lugers.

That is not a "black widow" magazine. It's not even WWII issue it's a post war made magazine.
