2 weeks ago i addressed this to my woman. (Been dating 5 years) I was headed to seattle. She didnt even have any idea because she maybe contacts me once a week through text. I told her there is no effort, no affection unless shes drunk, etc etc. She listened calmly then i left her house. OK, so let me get this straight. Instead of taking the lead in the relationship, you're saying that we should let them lead and we need to adjust our efforts accordingly in order to preserve the relationship? Think about it. When we have to adjust the length of our messages to her because she adjusted hers, or if we have to back off and leave her alone when she grows distant, it puts her in control of the relationship and you just have to follow her lead, except that you're doing it without telling her what you're doing. I can't imagine that kind of dynamic is healthy or will last very long.
