Using aileron in the stall and approach to stall is super dangerous dude, that gets people killed. Stall and approach to stall ailerons should always be neutral, use slight rudder inputs to keep the wings level. That’s how you drop a wing and it’s how people end up spinning in the circuit.
@LW_Aviation20 күн бұрын
Completely agree with you. I’m still not perfect, but thank you for the input.

Concur. Cessnas are particularly prone to this and particularly with flap out. I learned to fly in a Cessna 150 in 1972, and my instructor took great pains to demonstrate this to me.
@globalnomad45013 күн бұрын
Not sure I agree with you here. You approach the stall with wings level and if you go into the stall and have a wing drop, you would use the rudder to pick up the wing. I didn’t see him use aileron. On a big jet you would unload with ailerons .. slightly different. A wing drop on a Cessna isn’t too much of an issue, as it’s a fairly stable aircraft. You have to really hold it into the stall, Something like a tomahawk used to provide a nasty spin. I think he’s flying a 150/152? Or is it a 172? Try practising approach to stall, then keep it in the stall and pick up The wing with your rudder. It’s called incipient spin. Don’t go into the full spin, just practice wings level (with aileron) as you approach the stall. Controls neutral in the stall, but get the wing drop then use the rudder to pick up the wing…obviously pushing forward on the yoke to regain lift and speed. He’s a young lad, just at the beginning of his career. Interesting he said he’s spin endorsed…. Is that something they teach separately now. It’s been many years since I flew small planes. Maybe do an aerobatic course…that is fun and shows you the planes envelope!

Performing steep turns or any other training maneuvers with passengers on board is not good procedure. They can panic or unexpectedly try to grab controls, or get sick. Doing a stall is definitely ill advised. Your technique is fine, but put your showing off in neutral. Save displays of your skill to yourself or a CFI.

@@LW_Aviation That's great. You were clearly attentive and not easily distracted, and she was enjoying it immensely. It's also better to do stalls in that aircraft with someone in the passenger seat to even out the wait to avoid stalling the left wing before the right wing. I would never let my daughter to ride on your date on the plane after 500 to 1000 hours to make sure you get used to your plane. Never try to impress your new girlfriend on the plane during on a date. I have watched some pilots who have died on the private plane. It would required more than 500 to 1000 hours before you bring your girlfriend and friends on the plane.

@@blocka58 She has every right to express her opinion just as you do. No need to get harsh just because you disagree.

Trump supports General Aviation. He may even go to Oshkosh this year. I imagine all Pilots voted for Trump.
