About second story... Doormat, naive, this peoples don't give a shit about him, they didn't even send a text message or something, his fiancée could call him or something maybe even telling him the reason before. The bestman is a jerk, i would still have him invited to the wedding but not as a bestman anymore, his family just don't care enough about him and he's too dumb to see that, and screw all the friends, even the one who was really sick because he could at least tell OP why he didn't come. I would never talk with these peoples again even if i know it's a petty thing to do, also if i still talking with them i would never show up at time or even go to their events, and if they complain i would say: "Why should i bother?
