My friend has Downs, and I make sure to let him know that if he ever lies I know to let the teacher know about it and he'll get SPED-ISS. And if he were to say or accuse someone of this just like Emily, then he'll get up to 2 weeks of SPED-ISS for his actions but that's because he knows what he's saying. And she may just have echolailia if I spelled right? But she may just have it and that's what's causing her parents to believe her because they're probably not even educated on things like that. They should really look into it before judging, I have another friend who has autism and mimics things from the Friday movie and it's funny but it could also be helpful to be in theater class for people who may mimic we just got to play along. ❤

If something like this happens, and you have evidence don't show it to the person making the allegations even if they are family. The aunt had already filed a police report, so no need to do anything with her but keep an eye on what she does against you, but have a welfare check on the cousin if available in that area, and file a defamation lawsuit after collecting the evidence.

This is the problem with these types of accusations. Proving yourself innocent is very difficult if not flat out impossible in some instances. Not knowing when this happened, I would suggest to others who have children who are on the spectrum that they put many cameras inside and outside of their home. The cameras have many purposes but best is they eliminate or nearly eliminate certain misunderstandings.

As a completely blind individual typing this technology. I am well aware of individuals who are disabled that are either easily swayed by outside influences, or more sinister and hide behind something they use as a defense. Again not going off of my actual experience but from what I hear the deaf community is very pissy about the idea of their definitely being cured and not having disability privilege anymore.
