This is currently the most popular video on the NIGHTWISH KZbin channel - garnering around 1.2 million views every month over the past year. If they had posted this performance when they started the channel 16yrs ago, it would almost certainly be their most viewed video.

@@nicholew350 Some bands seemed to hold off a long time, before deciding to upload their most popular material. Iron Maiden is another of my favourite bands that did this. I suppose they had their reasons, but in today's digital age the decision seriously impacted their channel views.

Someone called Tarja the most savage opera singer once and I love that because it's true. Notice how Tarja's vibrato matches Jukka's drums during the end part? Absolutely amazing. Tarja has a clear voice, but it can also sound dark and full, and sometimes she can make it so sharp you can almost feel it cut. The more performances I've seen of her, the more I appreciate her!! And the combination of her voice with Marko's has always been a favourite of mine. :) Thank you for the reaction!

Since you have started off with "Tarja" era Nightwish, might I suggest you keep with that for now and look at; Wishmaster, Over the Hills & Far Away, Walking in the air & Sleeping Sun, all live versions (live is always best with Nightwish) with Tarja. I loved this reaction! Thank you! This is my favourite version!❤❤ The other band members of Nightwish actually fired Tarja from the band in 2005. The reasons behind it are complicated and nobody (besides the people involved with the band) knows the exact truth. But all that was a long ago and everyone has moved one. It's all good now. Yes, Tarja has ger own solo career. And it's AMAZING! She really got to shine, not only as a singer but as a songwriter aswell. She is a very good songwriter. Also Tarja developed her voice even more and it sounds more richer and natural nowadays. She also uses a lot more of her darker chest voice. You should definitely check out some of her own songs. Good ones are Victim of Ritual (live from Woodstock 2016) and Innocence (live from Circus Life 2020) Recently, Tarja and Marko have reunited. They sang together the Phantom of the Opera last year, which was the first time since this performance here. Marko and Tarja didn’t do a whole album together, but they released a new song called Left on Mars. It's great!

The more you listen to Tarja, the more you`ll love the sound of her voice and the way she carriers herself on stage. Please check Supremacy from Woodstock 2016 from her solo career. She is amazing. Also some of her classical stuff like Ave Maria by Paolo Tosti.

In my view you have 2 ways to go with Nightwish; chronologic or the most watched. You started with Tarja so ,do some more Tarja,than,Anette Olzon and after Anette it will be Floor Jansen. Most watched is more about preference of voice type .Tarja= mostly opera/classical, Anette= Poppy/jazzy , Floor= classical,rock,pop,metal,well most diverse.
