I was twice told by friends of my wife that if I were with ANY other woman they'd be boinking me already, but they just couldn't do that to her. Any of their other female friends? Not a problem. Welcome to the world of subjective morality where people can justify anything and get away with it. There is a person condition, not going to just dime out only women on this as I've seen it in men too. Where people turn inward most often on their own needs and desires, often forsaking their loved ones. I can tell you out of 20+ yrs of marriage, I saw this kind of mindset even in my wife. Thankfully, I never had to worry about the issues mentioned in this video. However, when a concern was raised by my wife it was 99% of the time framed in the perspective of my wife's well-being...not the family and not I. I had to graciously list out how my decisions always took her and the kids' well-being over my own. The intent was not shame her on that perspective, but instead bring her out of fear and possibly any form of selfishness (we are all selfish as some time or another). Thankfully, I could see the light bulb turn on when I mentioned all of this. I likely missed seeing this and didn't use the right words earlier in our marriage. With that said, I don't think she did this maliciously. It was a "human" response to the situation, but as with anything we have to rise up out of that condition to be something greater. At the end of the day, I simply wanted to be valued. I expressed that I was capable of prioritizing her well-being over mine when it was necessary (well-being over personal wants)...I had been doing it already for over 20 yrs. 🙂 EDIT: I just hope this whole "communication/openness" dynamic with the boyfriend in the video did not simply lead her to be more careful about hiding her behavior with other men.
