I have all of them! I have a large Skipper collection covering 1964 to 2023. She and Chrissy are my favorite but I do love Pretty as a Picture too! Certain Tammy and Pepper dolls are nice, too!

Poor Tammy smelling like cigarettes. It’s really amazing all the work and research you put into this! I had no idea about all of these! Cool about the waxy face for Tressy! Oh wow! Lovely Linda is so pretty! She’s got beautiful eyes! Krissy! My aunt had that doll! I remember playing with her at my grandparents house! Velvet is very cool! Loved this! I like Lovely Linda the best!

American character sold licences to produce Tressy dolls (with growing hair) all around the World: Canada, Mexique, Spain, England, France... I love Chrissy dolls, not easy to find here. i have never heard of the Vogue doll, unknown here, in France, and i have an item of each other dolls you have presented.

Your Crissy is a Swirla-Curler Crissy from 1973. In the Crissy family there is also Dina and her sister Brandi(Crissy's California cousins), Mia, and Cricket. (There were several versions of Crissy and Velvet made). They have their own website as well!

Oh my, I am so much older than you and didn't know a lot of things you told! I didn't know : They made an AA version of Tammy and that it was based on the movie, the history behind when Skipper was made, that Skooter was Midge's little sister. I have Tressy and Pepper from my childhood. I thought I had Tammy's entire family, but now I learn there is another brother and boyfriend.

I had a Chrissy doll but I believe she was blonde. Have you seen a doll that had a small record that slid into a slot on the dolls side . I think like Teddy Ruxpin did he have a racket or tape? That had to be in the 70s because I was born in 63. I also remember having a doll called baby first step and she would walk. Have you heard of any of those?
